The most fun I had playing a Warlock so far

I was running SFK with a PUG containing 2 warriors 2 paladins. Everything was going very smooth only one wipe due to a over pull. That was mitigated by a soul stoned pally who then rez the other pally.

Then we get to the final boss of the dungeon Archmage Arugal. I will admit he wiped the party a few times until our final attempt. I decided to arggo him so that he would attack me rather than the warriors so they could continue to attack while he void bolts me. My thinking easier for the pallys to heal me will smaller mana cost spells than full heals on the warriors. Eventually the warriors pull arggo from me and both go down. Then he takes me out. Arugal had so little life left, I cheer on the pallys then the group was down to one who is close to death. He then teleports back across the room and all the sudden he dies afterwards. Then the warriors light up the party chat with warlocks “DOTS for the win”. I had to comment to the group “revenge from the grave”.

I rolled for the Staff “which dropped twice”, the Feline Mantle and and the Belt and got all three. The only thing that would have been sweeter, is if the robe would have dropped and I would have gotten that as well.

bruh its legit lock luck… at lvl 48 i got a flurry axe drop from one of those dwarfs in searing… the other day i got some blood sword thats worth 100g… even got a 16 slot backpack drop the other day as well

One of the most satisfying warlock moments is me soloing the elite quest " It’s dangerous to go alone" in Un’Goro Crater.

I couldn’t find a group so I thought I try to do it myself. I was 52 and the quest mob is a 56 elite fire elemental. Dots and fear kite. I nearly die but still somehow manage to accomplish the quest with a magic pixel of health.

Funny thing is after I handed in the quest, a level 58 warrior was lfg to do that same quest. I chuckled and wonder is there any class other than hunter/mage can solo an elite mob with knockback ability at level 52.

Pretty much how it goes with warlock.

“Is it immune to fear or curse of exhaustion?”

“No? I can solo this…”

I’ve gotten 4 epic world drops so far including Kang and the Skullflame. On top of that I have 4 pieces of bis already. The dark powers are definitely tipping luck in our favor.

I don’t know which entity you guys are worshipping to get that luck. I am almost exalted with AD from running scholo but have never seen Vectus dropping his neck piece.

lol that’s a bit nutty. I’m not even sure I got 4 total in my vanilla character’s 250 days /played lol.

The Skullflame Shield I won on a roll 95 to 94. I gave it to our MT.

Gotta love it when the warlock steps up to tank the group freaks and the lock takes it all to the face.

I was running RFD last night and ended up tanking the last half of the instance XD drain life ftw!

Gratz on the loot op!

You don’t really need to tank this boss. Whoever has aggro can just keep blocking line of sight. Then the boss will run around the room like an idiot not doing any damage. Warlocks are perfect for this because you don’t need to keep line of sight for duration damage to progress.

Nice to know as i still have a robe to obtain.

I actually prefer that strategy to letting a meatshield just eat his nukes to the face. DPS just goes ham and blows him up.

If you don’t get it in a few runs, I’d suggest just skipping it. You can eventually get a decent green. In these levels, you level so fast, it hardly matters, and casters aren’t gear dependent in the first place.

I used Curse of Tongues to slow his casting and Drain Mana. Once he’s out of mana, he can’t cast and DPS can just burn him down. I love fights that give me a chance to use abilities that aren’t part of my normal rotation.

There’s fantastic caster gear in that place, man. I only just now at level 44 replaced the Arugal belt.

Now, THAT is how to have some FUN! And grats!

Get searing pain on your bar if you haven’t already.

Searing pain is situational and, pulling aggro off a tank who needs a moment to recover is a good situation in which to use SP.

Otherwise it’s only useful in PvP or in PvE solo where you’re going to have most of the threat anyway.
