The Mongrel Horde is Coming

The Mongrel Horde was the original concept for Warlords of Draenor.

It was originally going to be about Garrosh taking all the “Lowbie Enemy Races” and making a new Horde with them.

They would have had:

  • Murlocs
  • Troggs
  • Kobolds
  • Quillboars
  • Gnolls
  • Centaurs

(I bet they would have called that expansion “Warlords of the Barrens” lol)

Did you notice that from that list only Gnolls and Centaurs are yet to receive updated Models?

My theory is that they are slowly updating all those Races so that when they get all of them at HD quality they can release a content patch where we fight the Mongrel Horde sans Garrosh.

(Possibly with a name change).

She hates trolls? i mean, i can understand if she hates to the trolls Amani, but she hates Zandalari and Darkspear too?

Maybe that’s why they gave up on the idea.

The concept of lowby mobs joining together to get us is much better than WoD’s time travel nonsense, but they couldn’t find a reason why Garrosh would ever recruit those races to his Horde instead of more Orcs.
