For some reason I completed this quest before unlocking my mission Table. However the follower was not added to the mission table and I can’t turn in the quest anymore? It’s not even in my quest log. I cannot seem to get my 6th follower and having difficulty completing Island expedition Rank 2 Essence mission without him. Is this a common glitch? I’m on Alliance side
I don’t think it’s common because they probably never had anyone do the quest before the had the mission table. You probably will need GM help.

Did you get this resolved? I have the same issue but the GM response I’ve gotten from my ticket is to check wowhead for quest help…
I can confirm I’ve completed the quest via the script that checks for if a quest is completed but follower has not shown at my table for over a month now.
