The Mind of A Twink

Maybe some of these guys could take their licks like everyone else.

The tears keep flowing

twinking is so embarrassing lmao

when did i say that?

you are missing the fact that that was a made up example to cover the subject in general, not a specific argument about gearing. you are missing the forest for the trees. i used shoulders as an example but it could be a ring or a trinket or a whatever depending on your bracket and class.

if twinking was really valid then twinks wouldn’t need to get all defensive about twinking when talking about it.

And that is what i’m trying to point out, more so broadly that does not pan out over specificly. ALL of them but a select few scale. You could find a couple in some select circumstances(ramstein obviously), but overall the majority of them scale and do give/take.

Of course we are gonna get defensive when you speak towards something that is untrue, especially when it is used to support a false narrative.

Maybe for you. For a lot of people, it simply is not. In fact, I think its embarassing to be grinding out characters week after week only for them to be mediocre and only for you to take a ‘break from the game’ after the 1.5 month burnout.

Chasing a carrot on a stick is not an intelligent way to play the game - that means the game is playing you. A LOT of people do this, and I personally find THAT embarrassing and unfortunate for them :frowning:

This is right.

I always figured it was a mix of sadism and wanting an easy game with zero actual challenge.

Nope :stuck_out_tongue: There are twinks on both sides. Often times you get great matches but one thing that is so appealing is that you certainly will never get WRECKED by another player. You may get an awesome duel against another twink, but you will never get roflstomped because Little Timmy plays 30 hours a week.
I personally go back and forth between alliance and horde with mercenary mode - to break monotony. Its really fun. All these people crying about how bad BfA is and im having a GREAT time with my sandbox PvP arcade.

Yeah, YOU will never get wrecked. The people who aren’t twinks will.

Ok so let me be clear
You are absolutely correct. This is a great thing, for me. Watch what I do here:

“Yeah, YOU will never have work again because you’re rich, but the people who aren’t rich will.”

Should I be ashamed for being rich? Should I be ashamed for putting in work to make my characters awesome? My battleground win rate isn’t even that high. Each match typically has at least 3-4 twinks in it and there are plenty of competitive matches. In my world however, I will ALWAYS have a presence and that feels good. I won’t apologize for it sir.

So in the end, it goes back to what I said 2 days ago. No idea why you even replied, honestly.

Well, I would ask you. Do you think that rich people are sadists and want life to be ‘easy’ with zero actual challenge? Let me know, maybe you can convince me of something. I want you to think about this though please, ty.
And remember, some matches are challenging. Like I said, my win rate isn’t 80% or anything. It just gives me, the individual, power ; control.
No one wants the opposite of that narrative. Being mediocre is not appealing either
I’m ready to be educated, thanks.

If said rich people are actively seeking poor people to flaunt in-front of? Yes. That’s sadism.

Being rich also does make life easy, and they probably do want that, but that’s not really comparable to this game.

I disagree. If you’re rich, its because others are poor. You cannot escape that. No one said its a pretty world.
Being a PvP twink doesn’t mean you are ‘flaunting in front of undergeared players’, NO SIR. You are playing the game just like them except you are rich!
The analogy really does apply here i’m sorry if you cannot see that.
You see . .
People like Joe Rogan or Mark Walburger WOULD NOT ACCEPT their fate as the local Market Manager. They couldn’t stand the idea of being ‘owned’ by richer men, in this case twinks with better gear 1v1’ing you with ease. So they ‘tried hard’ and got rich. They shouldn’t be ashamed necessarily. But to pretend like such people want to flaunt their dominance is a bit of a leap. They just don’t want to be ruled. That is the paradigm a twink has. Do you understand? If I sound aggressive, please know that I’m super chill and enjoy talking to you, thanks <3

P.S. Joe Rogan for instance has said many times on his podcast that he was deathly afraid of being looked at like a loser growing up. He had something to prove. Well, he’s looked at as a winner by all the Cali girls today, and people want to be on ‘his team’. He enjoys life better than most i’d say too. Its unfair, and there is a ‘tooly’ vibe to it, but its just the way it is. The cooler guy who did NOT care about what people thought, and never became rich, became another man’s underling - which is annoying and creepy for most. I guess you could say the latter is cooler, but in the end . . . Shrugs

Don’t bother with the three amigo’s.

One of them believes PvP is bullying.

One believes gearing your character is sadistic.

One compares twinking to made up RL situations.

Shouldn’t it be the two, or one amigo?

Since you think people who disagree with you are all the same person?

This is a very accurate description of them rofl
