People are so obsessed with crap that doesn’t matter like parsing and logs, that they’re not even enjoying the game. These people need their own servers. They’re ruining the game for people who play it to have fun. Blizzard should disable API access and make native features that can track the competitive aspect on special servers.

Parsing wouldnt be bad if it took into account execution, and not just raw dps.

thats like 1 maybe 2 fights.
if people see your parses on the other fights they probably wont mind the last two parses.
btw parses are mostly such that most casters on the parses are also pressing buttons too!

I’m in a guild full of orange / pink parsers who think parsing is bad for the game.

i run with a gamut of players who some parse really high and some mid and some low.
everyone looks at logs after and tries to improve the next raid.
they dont think parses are bad for the game.

Great, so why don’t you get off the WoW forums and go parse the night away?
Game is way too easy. Parsing gives us a way to compete on a global scale. If anything, there seems to be more complaining around here about those who like to utilize min/max. You are free to build and find your own guilds/gruops that have no interest in these things.

No one cares about other groups’ parses. That’s a lie. It’s used only to keep players the parsers see as bad from joining, regardless if they’re actually bad or not.
There is just no point conversing with people that think this way. GL with it.

um you can look at exactly what buttons are pressed when with parses. It’s how I’ve known to reject idiot hunters that press distracting shot in their rotations as an example.
Just came here to basically say the same thing.
Level to 40, try to get into groups for the Gnomeregan raid, constantly told no because I don’t have logs on some website I’ve never gone to nor will go to.
The sweaty elitist have succeeded in gate keeping the end game content, I’m done with SoD, no reason to sink time into something and basically have a large portion of the content not be available to you because of some stupid web site and elitist douches.
