What’s the plan if Blizzard decides to release multiple RP PVP servers?
Blizzard seems to be paying a ton of attention this time to peoples plans. So just wondering. The funny little temp names have referenced the rumors. So there’s no way Blizzard doesn’t know of this plan.
(I do feel bad for the RP players. The cultures are just different)

Grob is a mega server in wotlk.

making 2 RP-pvp servers is a good solution yes. that way the real RPers can just pick the other server
funny how the masses have to be managed like this.

rp players are weirdos… i made a character once on one of them realms and used the character generated name and got reported my name wasn’t role play enough, so i used the in game auto generated name again and again got reported my name wasnt fitting my race… so i just gave up on trying to play on rp realms.

I find it humorous to see people who think that they can outsmart a company that is trying to outsmart them when that company knows all their plans and is showing that they do.
The deck is stacked one way.
We’ll see what happens today to see if whatever plan works. I’d normally know without asking here but haven’t been following much because I’m still not too excited about SoD.
They’re not going to be able to split the playerbase. They can add 5000 more servers it won’t matter. There will be ONE mega server regardless of what they do.
They only hurt themselves by releasing more dummy servers
All that would do is make people wait 2 minutes before logging in to reconfirmed the server
you don’t understand. there’s a real RP-PVP community that you are disrupting

I agree, but I don’t blame Lazarak for it.
This is more about Blizzard and a certain part of the player base playing games. Blizzard is saying “We don’t want one mega server” and the players who are rebelling against that are like “Well then, we’ll go to the RP server”.
This could be about taking a stance for future releases, but WoW players don’t tend to put much thought into the future and instead put way more into things like how to parse better. I’m certain that the tiff I described is what’s going on here though.
It is a shame for the actual RPers who will get caught in the crossfire.

Well, it is explicitly against the terms-of-use and the end-user-license-agreement to name a character after IRL celebrities or public figures, but as you can see from your current name, that is not really enforced anymore.
My name isnt a real life name… who do you know has a name of Affilock?

When was this? I’ve been on moonguard since wrath and about a third of the player base has non-rp names and suffers zero consequences.
Yup its why Grob lived and Farlina died.
Now the locust of Farlina descend on the RP-PVP server.
