50-60 not even half a stack and that’s with a few times slaughtering entire areas and the respawns a few cycles chasing meat… 3 pops on my racial.
Think I ended up with 75ish meat total.
It wouldn’t be WoW if you could kill ten bears and get all ten of their pelts, that’s too reasonable.

Blizz thinks most people play WoW 15 hours a day.
It’s kind of annoying.
I guess they expect you to get meat from your Command Table and not from killing animals.
It sucks, cooking doesn’t feel like a profession to make money
What you all don’t know is that the meat drop rate is really high, but Nomi is following you in stealth and taking it all so that the ultimate creation can be made. Not Burnt Meat!

I farm on this toon here. Since making this post originally, I’ve found an excellent grind spot for the creepy meat, and a somewhat decent one for shanks. The rest, I’m still working on.

First expansion i had cooking (and all crafting) maxed in a few days. I have hundreds of food stacked just from casual fishing and questing.
Yeah the meat drops are a worse deal than just popping a fish type buff and casting a few lines.
Certainly way less meat than other xpacs but then for whatever reason food is easier to stockpile with fishing than in past xpacs.
So start fishing or buying fish.
To be fair maybe our characters are accidently cutting open the stomach or bladder thus ruining the meat(like it would with real animals).
I’m a hunter. I know shot placement. Besides when popping a 200# animal it won’t ruin ALL the meat. If they dropped stacks and you’d get less for an unclean kill I could understand… but killing a mob that would be roughly 300-500#, and don’t even get a stick of jerky?
I spent 30 min yesterday on my HM druid. Killing deer. Never out of combat more than a few seconds just looping the area.

Actually, no. Nomi wasn’t a shame.
He was a walking blasphemy. An pox upon the culinary field. A monstrosity trained, not by us as we thought, but by the old gods.

Hey, the other day I had a quest and one part was to get three dog skulls.
Killed a Cerberus looking thing and got all three. Didn’t know what to do, thought drop rates had been given better logic but the to finish the quest the drop rate on spiders and bears was awful and I knew I was home again
I love the meat drop rate actually. Octo is getting rich from selling the rarest flanks.
Especially that ethernet meat. Like omg I’ve probably made 100k gold from ethernet meat alone.
Except you don’t even have a good place to farm the ribs, there are so few mobs that drop it, and they are really far in between.
