The Magic is gone

I have been playing different games lately for the first time ever, and i must say it is refreshing to get away from WOW.The time and money i spent on my hunter only to have a company spit on me was the last straw for me.I would highly recommend everyone get off this game and play something different that is actually fun.The magic is gone, time to move on.

I honestly don’t understand people who only play WOW.

What a novel post. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these before in the last 16 years the game has been around

I get you don’t like the game anymore but what is the point of trying to get others to quit? Aren’t you getting a little too emotionally invested in this?

perhaps the reel magick was the expansion packs and friends we made along the way

Its just clear they are just trying to get as much money out of the game while they still can instead of actually making it good again.

I don’t quite understand it either. If you play on a casual basis, there are games that take less time than WoW…

If you don’t? I have no idea how you’d have not at least stumbled upon the competition. There’s a lot!

for you

If you’re already burnt out on WoW than playing any other game will feel like an escape. There aren’t many people around that have been playing this game continuously since it came out. They usually play in intervals where they play for a year, stop, and come back a few years later. You just get the WoW itch.

It’s ok to make a good bye post. It’s not OK to recommend what others do. Obviously, if they are still having fun, they’re going to keep playing. Big fat duh.

I quit the game last week and I’m back playing an alt and having fun again. Play when you want, quit when you want. How can this be too much for some people to comprehend?

It’s completely healthy to take long breaks from WoW or any game for that matter. Especially if you aren’t having fun.

I’m not a fan of FFXIV but I think think Yoshi-P has a really healthy mentality when it goes to MMO design

Yoshida “It’s alright not to play it everyday. Since it’s just a game, you can stop forcing yourself if it’s hard on you to keep that up. Rather, it’ll just pile up unnecessary stress if you limit yourself into playing just that one game since there are so many other games out there. So, do come back and play it to your heart’s content when the major patch kicks in, then stop it to play other games before you got burnt out, and then come back for another major patch. This will actually make me happier, and in the end, I think this is the best solution I can answer for keeping your motivation up for the game.”

I’m one of those people. I grew out of videogames and started doing other things with my life. When I met my gf, she played WoW and got me interested in it again. Now I play it, but super casually. I have zero interest in other videogames. I have other hobbies I focus on when I don’t feel like playing WoW.

Not sure who they hired to design SL cuz its complete trash

I do understand, because WoW is just a video game, and there’s nothing wrong with just playing one video game you like.

…What do you mean ‘money’ spent on your hunter?

What did you even buy?

I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with it; it’s just very very rare to only have ONE form of entertainment.

How many people do you know that only watch one TV show, or only listen to one musician, or only read one book series, how many hikers only ever hike the same exact hill?

Entertainment forms often act like gateways; when you try one out and you like it, you tend to also try similar ones you think you might like.

Sometimes you like many things in the same genre, other times you like a few things in many different genres; but nearly always you are going to like more than one thing.

Very few people only like one thing; very few people are ‘one-dimensional.’ Again, it’s not wrong, it’s just very rare.

That’s the point though, you do OTHER stuff.

For me the magic never leaves. Probably because I also play Destiny 2, Halo MCC, FF, Skyrim, Apex Legends, CoD, just to name a few. I’m starting a character on Outlanders since I was a huge Gears fan, this weekend. WoW can maybe be a single game for a long while if you’re a new player or focusing on a brand new alt etc. However you should probably commonly be delving into other games at the same time to keep it interesting.
