The Mage and His Dress (A Request for Mog Toggles)

A mage wears a robe. This is a staple of the genre as much as it is in WoW as well. HOWEVER, there will always be pants, too. You have to fill that slot with a piece of gear every tier, and we have been graced with some pretty banger cloth pants over the years.

Why then are regular shirts so hard to come by? While it wasn’t always the case, we often had variants to our robes that were cut at the waist. Now it feels like we are lucky if we get them at all.

Then there’s this oddity. I’d like to bring attention to two SOTFO pieces in particular, a robe and its shirt variant:
Anduin’s Princely Vestments (https://www.wowhead.com/item=189835/anduins-princely-vestments?bonus=6805) and Habit of the Empyrean (https://www.wowhead.com/item=188875/habit-of-the-empyrean?bonus=6805)

For whatever reason the ‘shirt’ option has had the 3d jewel and detailing removed - making it look more like a questing green than a raid drop. This isn’t the only time that they’ve removed details from the shirt option, but it’s the most recent and obvious to me.

I don’t know if this bothers anyone else as much as it bothers me, but I want to propose that a toggle be added to the transmog window to “snip” the skirt off of robes. Any robes. All robes. Not just cloth! Just let us cut the piece off at the waist if we so choose.
