It’s almost as though having a lopsided meta balance alongside a heavily timed speedrun that is very punishing and only punishes the owner of the key creates a system that heavily encourages people to only invite the very best of a small handful of specific class / specs and refuse everyone else.

Well you wont get an invite to mine, because I’m a warlock and we don’t need a 2nd warlock. I’ve had good success pugging on my warlock. Learn to be selective with who you invite to your group.

What i don’t get is Demo absolutely claps in m+ and easily does half a mil burst on mobs every minute yet players seem allergic to it.

That’s pretty much everyone’s experience accept key holders, tanks, and healers. And to a lessor extent, DH, Aug and BM.
I can get into a 12 in a couple minutes then get declined for 15 minutes trying to get into a 9.

I honestly don’t think you’re getting declined for your class as often as you think. I’m not naive enough to say it isn’t happening at all, but I think it’s considerably less than you think it is. Right now people are going for geared, scored players. They’re even abandoning an actual lust much more than normal. It also depends on the week. Last week perhaps you lost a spot here and there for no real solution for incorp. But this week you’re a boon. If I see a 470, 2400 lock in queue, I usually grab it.
I would assume premade can only play at certain times during the week and OP has more time to play.
start your own group then you can do the declining.
What’s sad is that was my 9.0 experience. What’s really changed in four years? Nothing.

I find amusement with the tendencies of pugs, its like a game within a game & they have this very strange world.
Im almost 35, balding with hypertension, i use to be able to put up with pugs but now if i spammed my own keys with pugs i WILL have a stroke.
