I don’t understand what you are on about, your only doing 4s, I don’t think you have the experience yet to say what is piss easy or not. Not even cleared normal raids and your parses are grey. What you with find out later on is that it is nearly impossible to carry grey parses in 7+ in a pug.
there is a whole discussion with many links in this thread here if it interests you to check it out. both shadowlands and dragonflight had just as many keys completed in just 1 week compared to almost the same amount of keys completed in the 1st 3 weeks of the war within combined. almost 1/3 less keys ran based off those numbers.
Yep, been saying this for years. The only reason it is popular, is because it was easy loot. This expansion with the update reward structure proved what many have been saying since Legion, that M+ was only popular because it is a loot piñata.
Have you ever actually qualified why you feel this way outside of the times you pretend to speak for the real MMO players? The rewards have gotten wacky, and I’ll agree those items needed to be scaled back so M+ loot didn’t overshadow everything else as much as it had. But that wouldn’t require removing M+ to achieve.
But in all the posts I’ve seen you make hating on M+, I do not recall a single criticism that wasn’t solely either your opinion on something that makes M+ bad or you attempting to cast a massive net regarding what some majority of players feels. Why is the only solution to fixing the game the removal of M+?
This might be the most overused phrase in all of gaming, that esports is the reason for <insert anything you don’t like> in a video game. The reality is, people get better at activities they perform repeatedly over a long period of time, and video games are no different.
The average level of players today is drastically higher than the average level of players even 5 years ago, much less 10 or 20. Why do you think every raid tier launched in classic is cleared in hours, even the raids that took upwards of a month to clear when they first released in retail? If Blizzard didn’t add more complex mechanics and tighter tuning to the game, the players near the top would graduate out of WoW entirely due to there not being any more challenge. But if they raise the entire scale, that would raise the floor, pushing out players near the bottom, including most new players to the game.
To be clear, there have certainly been times we can point to where Blizzard made a decision that seems to only cater to the top that had a negative impact on everyone else. But nearly every example that gets brought up, including the cooldowns and dispels and interrupts you mentioned, can also simply be a way to continue to engage the players who are slightly above average, not just those who make a living out of playing WoW.
Outside of gearing disparity, 100% of the problems you listed here have existed in nearly every expansion going back to TBC. I get it, M+ is the boogeyman around here that’s even the cause of world hunger. But sometimes you just need to give it a rest when trying to assign every problem to the fact that M+ exists.
Yes, M+ created gearing problems; those can be fixed without completely removing M+ from existence. But as a game mode, having small group content that doesn’t have to bow to the almighty raid king for those who want it is good for the game.
Not for premades. Premades will frequently run keys they find less appealing rather than lobbing a member or forcing them to an alt. If players can walk right up to any dungeon, unless you’re farming a specific end-of-dungeon reward, there would be no reason to run anything but the easiest dungeon.
Its the best system they’ve introduced because people actually play content between raid nights. Dark time’s before M+. Nithing but dailies, pvp, and rep grinds
Id argue the E-Sport attempt is actually whats ruining the game for people. Not any one piece of content but the fact that all content is tuned towards the world first race. They were on streams bricking 9s to get loot for raid lol. The perfect example is the low % of not just mythic but heroic razageth kills while she was relevant.
Im by no means a bad player, but good God the amount of people clearing their content vs how many probably should is disturbing. I feel bad for those who havent gotten KSM and have been tanking low keys to try and help alleviate some of the stress.
