Just hold a key hostage with a group until they pay up so they dont get marked…
This is literally whats going to happen woth the changes…
A better solution would be:
Make people lose rating upon leaving, just like in pvp, dont time a key? Lose some rating, leave a key? Lose alot of rating…this will truly differentiatewhos actually good vs bad…but pve players want their hand held…and hence ransom situation will arise due to this new system
Until they get banned. Plus it wont work because you can just leave. The odds of this happening to any one person to the extent they get marked seems quite low.
There are so many scarecrows making these types of conspiracy threads, right Toto?
No, Athernon intentionally spreads misinformation all the time. It’s why I call him out. If Athernon says something, ask for a source. 99 times out of 100 he won’t provide one, because he’s making it up.
I’ll take the mark of the leave and wear it proudly before I’ll ever give a single copper to a glorified mythic+ terrorist thinking they’re going to get one over on me.
The absurdity of you people though…this is pretty far on the extreme of things that’ll never happen.
M+ rating will never “go down” because M+ rating is only a record of the furthest you’ve been. Like you can’t lose CE if you get killed by the boss, you can’t lose the keys you’ve timed.
People use PvP rating as an example when it isn’t even remotely the same, you win and gain points or you lose and lose points to varying degrees based upon the difference in the MMR between players. In PvE, you either successfully clear the content and receive points, or you don’t and receive nothing with higher levels being worth more points and when pushing into the higher key ranges, failure is more likely so it would be counter-intuitive to remove points from leaving, it’d mean the only people getting the top % title would be people who bought carries for mid-level keys with a 100% success rate instead of the people actually pushing the hard content.
When chat is involved is literally the only time it’s an easy penalty, and that’s entirely avoided by people just not talking in chat.
You are completely outside your mind if you think the type of griefing people are going to do in response to being held hostage is going to be actioned with any regularity.
If you are leaving keys too often in this first iteration, we’re not going to penalize you on an account level.
Think of it like an arms race. You got Trolls on one side, Blizzard on the other. Trolls keep trolling, Blizzard keeps making the punishment more severe.
