20 renown for the base 4.
Does the renown apply to all characters on your account? And / or can you use it on a character that is already max level, but needs the renown?
Only the one boosted character has 20 renown. But all characters can then access the vendors.
I don’t think you can use it on a character that’s already max.
Dang yeah you’re right, just tried it. Well that’s a let down.
Having one character with renown 20 with a faction doubles the amount of rep your alts below renown 20 get with that faction, or triples it if they’re also below renown 10. If you’re going to be buying the version of the next expansion that comes with a level boost anyway then you’re still going to benefit from having the boosted character be renown 20, even if you don’t plan to actually play that character.

This is kind of a bad precedent to be setting. Just pay-wall your way to success (unlocking reps).
Why not do what was done with artisan consortiuum. Not sure if the inscription contract rep reward was doubled or triple or what, but you get quite a bit more, maxing out the rep in like 2 or 3 wq full clear rotations.
They could/should do something similar here. If the dev team is considering the renown grind to be a bottleneck to something at this point in the xpacs lifecycle, then increase the amount of rep from in-game sources. So all players benefit by playing the game.
Don’t sell us a skip.

It is really only going to unlock some transmogs, the gear is pointless even at this point in the expansion and the crafting recipes will not have any value in the next expansion.

I noticed that too when I used the level boost on my paladin. It’s honestly kind of neat.

PS- really funny you people waaah about a renown catch-up when this is the first xpac we can’t get renown/rep from dungeons or BGs. Because you’re bad at those things.
But y’all will buy mountains of WoW-tokens to get carried through achievements you could have done yourself if you just tried to be a good player.

It’s cosmetics late in the game that no one cares about. It’s not max renown. It’s irrelevant.
There is no winning this fight against people trying to prove their personal worth through their poor spending habits, and act like those who have participated in the process aren’t somehow slighted by their ability to just pay for the Disney FastPass version.
Is it actually on every level 70, or only the “enhanced” one you get with TWW?
