The low level experience is

absolutely unacceptably bad.

doing dungeons is ridiculous. you cant even complete a cast because everything dies instantly. even bosses die in under 3 seconds.

PvP is unplayable if the other team has a hunter or DH. “get oneshot noob hurhurhur”

questing by yourself is about the only thing that isn’t broken. even then, its so embarrassingly easy that it’s boring af.

Its no wonder this game has no population any more. New/returning players see this garbage and just laugh. If the only actual gameplay happens at max level then just let us make max level characters right from the creation screen.

Eh, you level up so quickly, it not really worth putting in the time/effort to do anything about it.

More than 1000 players every day, even on maintenance days.

Have any suggestions or is this a venting only post

Yeah, I am. but I gotta eat the food first.

That’s exactly what we were all thinking

Instead of waiting multiple levels for anything you now progress a little bit with every level via talent points.

Seems like a much more fluid and smooth leveling process than before.

WoW has not been about the journey for a very long time. Questing is just a means to an end. End game has been it’s sole focus and lvling is just RP.

Fix the scaling, obviously. thats the big one.
Just allow max level character creation. The option clearly exists.
Don’t be a lazy studio

but it’s fun when you have the hunter or DH, huh?

No, its really not.

It’s fun when you are the <whatever class/spec has enough of their kit to be OP at low level>

looks at all his alts waiting to be leveled up, dressed in awesome thematic mogs and mounts

I have no idea what you are talking about. :man_shrugging: I get my enjoyment at least as leveling is not a tedious slog.

I used to be the young hot tamale when I was level 15… And then level 36 happened and I’m watching everyone around me do twice my damage.

I had to sit and watch them do all the work while I collected the reward. I don’t know how I managed it

I don’t know what class/spec/level you’re talking about. I’ve been leveling multiple classes over the last 2 months and my experience is like this:

Wearing heirlooms, I use 1 to 2 abilities until I get into my 20’s. Then I have at least 1 aoe and some single target abilities to round up a small group of mobs to aoe down. Use a self heal to top off, since I get low health doing that and then do it again. I have to use my whole kit doing this.

In dungeons, go for instant cast abilities since things don’t take 3 seconds to kill or longer for DoT classes.

Another tip is to adjust your talents for the level and type of content you’re doing as you level. Builds you find online don’t take into account leveling and the different scenarios you encounter. For example, there’s no point in getting certain abilities if you’re never in a situation to use them, whereas they may be awesome during a 5 min boss fight instead.

Expansions vary on TTK

So they just need to stop being lazy and put as much effort as they put into scaling max level for every pvp bracket, then make it so the player can skip all of it.

I’ve dreamt of the day Blizzard finally makes expansions where we stop leveling and just get more content.

They don’t need as tight of balance as they have at max level but otherwise you should put effort into maintaining the parts of the game that you make, yes.

Otherwise they might as well just remove leveling, as it’s irrelevant and pointless.

Oh honey… Never say never but that is never going to happen

I know. Leveling is a big chunk of time sink at the start of expansions. Gotta extend that sub as long as possible.
