Thanks a ton for letting us know you hear our frustrations, hope to hear good news on a better direction soon.
Some people like to collect mounts and don’t care if it’s easy or not
Or some people just collect ALL mounts and have farmed this particular mount for 10+ years and are tired of it having a worse than Sha world boss drop rate for a 15 day a year dungeon lockout. Imagine
Yes, that is true. We simply move onto the next rare thing after this one gets made easier.
I want it because I want to fly on a pink rocket. I would absolutely use it if it would drop. I don’t care about the allure or rarity people keep talking about and its insulting people keep bringing that up as if it justifies one of the lowest drop rates in the game for a mount that isn’t even up all year
Nah, I want it cause it’s a mount.
I agree. Holidays should be something to look forward to because of the items that are obtainable.
People that participate should have a way to 100% get these fun items and use them (including cosmetics) all year. Even if that means farming bracelets to buy it from the vendor.
Leave rng drops for end game gearing.
I mean I get what you guys are saying, but this is one hundred percent chasing the elusive high. I’m not a collector, but I am a key pusher. I bash my head in day in and day out just to see the little score by my name go up because having a pink io makes me feel cool. If everyone could get to 2.5k io, however, I’d have to push on to the next level to get the pink score, all so that I can sit in oribos and say neat. You guys are doing that but with a mount. If not this one it’ll be another.
This is the worst analogy ever
I want it bc it’s pink with a zebra stripe seat… it’s the girliest mount in the game lol.
Not even really in the same ballpark here buddy, but whatever makes you feel better.
A key pusher would never understand.
I just did another 50 attempts, day 7 450 so far this year… i discover Grounded really good survivor game
Comparing determinisitc rewards with sloot machine… i mean RNG it’s not a good match.
I have clearly pissed on a furious ant hill here so I’m gonna go ahead and back away slowly. I wish y’all luck getting your rocket thingy.
Yeah you better run
Lmao, I’m just trying to make you aware comparing guaranteed rewards (key pushing) to an RNG yearly event just isn’t in the same category. Good luck with your pushing though dude!
In contrast with others are saying I get the intent of your message.
Sort of like a street having a 30 mph speed limit and people regularly go 40 mph. County/state comes by and ups the speed limit to 40, afterwards people still speed. A treadmill. And for a lot of things in this game blizzard has added a +1 progression tick especially for mounts, since we can’t use dyes. So they dump all appealing skins of the mount and then justify ways to get them.
Although in this case, the content access window for this mount on top of the high rng just scuttles any fun aspect that said holiday event can have. And if blizz can return genuine excitement for the event next year while adding determinism/or upped droprates/“kill 15 times in succession during a binge for one character instead of daily lockout cause you are out of town/bogged from school/work” type of design then that would be a welcome change at least for me.
It’s horrible isn’t it That feeling you get after a long day at work and you clock out knowing that it’s over, that’s what it’s like for me after the 2 weeks are up.
Do what other games do: weekly quests for the event that give you a major currency and the number of weeks, say 3, means you get 3 of the currency to buy the one new cosmetic for that year. The next year, that cosmetic goes onto the vendor for the easier and quicker to get currency and a new cosmetic goes to the weekly quest currency.
For instance, in Rift, the weekly quests for a 3 week event got me 3 shards to spend on the new mount. I spent the beads I picked up from mobs, dungeons and dailies to buy old stuff I didn’t get the previous years.
