It may be a waste to you, but it won’t be a waste to the person doing it who clearly wants to claim ownership of the mount. Not everyone ties their WoW identity to a single account.
Don’t forget there’s this thing called Character Transfer so that they can move the mount if they want before learning it.
Uh that’s what I said. And since you only have 14-15 tries per character per year that makes the drop chance as is, way worse.

They really overdid it with rare’s dropping mounts this expansion
Also all MoP World Bosses have the Black Market as bad luck mechanic, however the BMAH needs some updates and a better rotation, it doesn’t feel like an AH , since anything from value goes to gold cap and there’s players moving gold between severs just to allow others to buy the item.

Better than nothing. My input is even if the original percentage is extremely small, making it cumulative. That way it could still take you a BUNCH of chances, but you WILL get it eventually. Having a .0000000001% EACH TIME and doing it 20 times a day every year for years is NOT FUN.
Thank gold loans from communities for that. It’s why they removed the longboi (I think the coffer still drops it) since summer last year.
Yeah the BMAH is very badly designed and impossible to use unless you camp it religiously on multiple servers
The only way this could work is if tokens persisted after the event. I believe the most you can get per day is like 50 tokens unless you charm farm.
A Blue claimed on the CS Forums that he couldn’t tell if it was removed. It must be. A bug, not something they did intentionally.
I have been running this instance every day its available in hopes of getting this since 2010 on multiple toons across multiple servers and nothing 
. It took me 10 years to get Ashes of Alar and this is taking me even longer. Here’s to hoping next year will be the year!
how about yall just add the legion bad luck protection system to all the holiday events so after so long the bad luck will just stack up and pop, “you just got the mount”
I’ve been trying for this particular mount on multiple characters each day every year this event has been up. Still no luck at all. I really hope either the drop-rate is increased or that we can just purchase it off of the vendor for a specific amount of tokens.
I’m well over 1,000 attempts for over the years now. Farming on (10) characters per-day. Also took me several years just to get the Headless Horseman’s mount from the Hallow’s End world event. I hope the drop-rate is increased on that as well for players that have been farming for it for years now as well.
Bad spawn rates and bad drop rates is a bad combination.
Either the spawn is rare and the loot isn’t or the loot is rare but the spawn isn’t. I don’t like both
A change to this has been needed for years, chiming in with my 10k+ attempts after this year. 135 attempts a day. Since this “hopeful” change won’t happen until next year I’d recommend leaving the level to loot the mount from the box at 50, instead of increasing it to 60 next year as per usual with next xpac launches.
Imagine if the Time Lost Proto Drake only dropped the mount once every five kills.
It really, really isn’t. I’m going to need a break from WoW as soon as this event is over, every day it’s all I do.

I mean y’all know you only want this mount because its ridiculously hard to get and therefore makes you feel cool and unique having it right? You make it easier and that allure goes away. No one cares if you have a red proto drake for example.
There’s a solution to the “bad news”. Put the holidays that have these needed solutions on a marathon of a few weeks where one holiday is active at a time until you’ve run through them all. One week for Brewfest, one week for Valentine’s, one week for Halloween, and one week for Midsummer. Justify it as Chromie fixing time because some infinite dragon is making a mess.
I have killed this boss thousands of times with no mount. I am doing it 28 times a day right now lol.
