The Lightbound?

So, are we ever going to follow-up about the crazy Naaru and the Draenei from AU Draenor?

I’ve had enough Draenor for a lifetime. Let’s NOT repackage that continent/world (your choice) for the third time.

Especially after how disastrous that decision to rehash content and story in the first place proved to be.

I hope so. Got a pyroblast with Yrel’s name on it right here.

Yup I’m ready to kill her. I’ve never liked her not even back during wod.

Probably not. They were just a random mcguffin that Blizzard used to try to make some sort of sense of the Mag’har joining the Horde.

Just shy of never.

Personally I was a big fan of it. I love stories of escaping religious persecution.

I’m all for another Scarlet Crusade/Inquisition purge.

Eh, the story for Draenor was great, up to a point. Then they lost the plot and didn’t add enough content, so we were left asspulls.

Frostfire Ridge was a fantastic zone. Teledor and the Spires as well. Quest story always trumps the raid and cinematic story, as those have to be the most catchy and flashy, rule-of-cool beholden bits of lore.

I enjoyed Draenor, up until after Highmaul. I would enjoy further exploration of the subject.

Yrel did nothing wrong.

The orcs upsetting the balance and causing at least Gorgrond into ecological cataclysm, however…

It was actually the Light causing it.

The Orcs claimed things went south with the Lightborn.

Maybe we check in on it, just to make sure those radical space-goats don’t get any crazy ideas about coming to Azeroth to convert us…

Wouldn’t it be a riot if we go and Draenor’s now a utopia of peace between orcs and draenei, technology has advanced far beyond Azeroth, and a new generation of Draenorcs is starting.

Where are the Order of the Awakened?

Prob not

But that would go against our master, the void God Elune!

/Shudders in Med’an.

I don’t believe such a thing as the Lightbound exist its just some word orcs made up to put down Draenei. I bet the orcs where trying to do bad things like attack the Draenei again and destroy more of the planet but the Draenei fought back some of the good orcs joined up and fought back against the bad ones.

Yrel is such a great person that orcs try to make her sound like a bad guy when she is so nice and peaceful.

You mean like the Borg?

I actually find the followup very likely, given the recent shifts in the kind of content Blizz is putting out. They love max-level miscellaneous questlines now, and actually committed pretty hard to following up on many things from Legion, artifacts being the foremost example. I would have never expected that a few expansions ago. While, uh… a lot of what we’re seeing in WoW storywise now is pretty questionable, they’ve certainly had a goal of unifying and serializing all of it.

Also, there have been some recent comments on some of the quest items you get from IEs… these are actually canon plot threads, even if island configuration itself is not canon. I bet we can expect eventual followups on some of those too. Basic singleplayer questing content is probably some of the cheapest stuff they can put out, and when it’s not Val’sharah-esque it’s hard not to eat up. And Blizz knows it.
