It would have been far better if they got the lich king voice actor back to voice the jailer instead of this voice actor i just don’t feel intimidating. With the lich king his voice reeked of death. Zovaal sounds like a generic cliche badguy. No offense blizzard

I agree… The lich kings voice was perfect… the jailer just seems lame
I don’t think anyone would have complained if the jailer voice was the lich king voice after all helm of dommination was his creation.

Imagine if the Jailer had the Lich King voice and had his original art design. Badass villain.
The maw in his heart looks pretty sick but i would have preferred they kept the lich king crown.
Nah Lich King’s Doctor Claw voice was generic & try hard, the original Dragon Ball Z Fusion like voice where you could hear both Arthas & Ner’Zhul talking was much better, but the average joe wouldn’t get it so they changed it.

WotLK was just a really well-done expansion, from the lore, the story, the characters and voice acting. Story was, WotLK was the peak of Blizzard’s performance and will forever be a treasure to the people who got to actually play and experience the expansion.
Also, I’m not sure if this is true, but I heard Blizzard paid a ton of cash for voice actors in Wrath.

And it really shows how much they are willing to spend as opposed to now.
They ruined zovaal “that nipple guy” after that terrible shot of him in the story trailer on the launcher. Just shoved his nips into my eyes whenever I opened WoW. So yeah so zovaal is the nipple guy now

Tbh I always thought LK had a very generic villain voice to him.
Another poster said The Lich King was like a Scooby Doo villain and I’ve been sharing that since.
Jailer is completely non threatening he’s arthas 2.0 with no sword stuck in the maw.That’s why he fails as a character he cant even stop us from just dropping by.
I saw a screenshot where each nipple had a health bar.
Killed me.

Well they can’t use the same voice, it would be weird. But I agree, the Jailer overall just feels like a big cliche lol. I donno what others think but the lich king voice later for me was top notch, better than what someone earlier posted of the original voice.
I will forever not acknowledge this. The Nathrezim made both Forstmourne and the Helm of domination and THAT IS FINAL! SCREW YOUR GARBAGE RETCON, STEVE!

Well, we are raiding Castle Nathria, fighting Sire Denathrius, who looks a lot like a certain class of villain we’ve seen pretty often.

Yes, I know, but in the good ol’ days Frostmourne and the HoD were crafted by the Nathrezim not the runecarver. Steve and his band of flying monkeys retconed that out and inserted their own garbage fanfic about both being the Jailer’s property now.
