The LFR problem

Determination is great and exists, so eventually, you’re going to win.

I think the initial difficulty should be raised just a little. or more of the actual mechanics be involved. so that it at least gives you an accurate picture of the fight, because even with 25 morons you would eventually win after a few wipes .

That really would make lfr …educational for those who want to go on to more difficulty. Stepping out of LFR into normal when sometimes half the major defining mechanics are absent is just bonkers.

I love LFR’s place in the world. I just feel it’s potential isnt tapped into to move people along to Normal.

It currently is designed as an afk-able event … which is sad and unacceptable

There is no problem with lfr. If you dont like it dont queue for it.

Normal is waiting for you.

Okay since that had zero constructive things to add to this post . Cool

I’ve had issues with LFR but that fight ain’t worth fighting. It’s here, it is what it is so ignore it if you don’t like it.

I don’t think that people who use LFR want to move into Normal. I thnk they just want to get in, get out, and be done. For story purposes or whatnot. Not everyone wants to be a raider.

There’s a segment of the LFR community that is not looking to increase difficulty tiers and will NEVER set foot in normal. Leave it alone.

You idiots are only going to force more people to either A) Stop raiding or B) dillute the skill level of Normal raiding. You’re only looking to punish, no enchance raiding for anyone.

I think as long as this game encourages actually not playing and still getting rewarded then it will always suffer .

Why not use the easy content to actually be a little more helpful to players wanting to progress but don’t want to just roll into normal blindly.

Im not saying normal is hard by any means but i know many players who are afraid to try because let’s be honest …LFR doesn’t teach you crap.

No no I’ve played lfr and there is definitely difficulty there

There is no “LFR Problem”. If it is too easy for you, do normal or something even harder.

Then in that case , no gear progression should come from LFR. Outside of like heroic dungeon ilvl to offer another way to get that base line ilvl to do …i guess challenging content aka mythic dungeons or actual raiding .

Makes little sense as a heroic raider to feel the need to do LFR and afk just because you may get a good rng roll on gear there .

Or see people who Afked get pieces just as good or better than your gear

Or, you know, just play a harder difficulty if you don’t like the difficulty level of LFR.

Also this is a topic that has been absolutely beaten to death and has had zero new ideas come up in discussion.

If you want a harder challenge, do normal or higher. If you don’t want to do LFR, don’t do it.

That sounds like a “you” problem. Stop being concerned about what PlayerX over there does and the rewards they get, start being concerned about what Xanrath is doing and the rewards he’s getting.

LFR dropped gear at item level X has absolutely no effect on your Normal gear dropped at item level Y.

Preaching to the choir here man. I don’t like LFR or the impact it’s had on wow overall. However mythic 0 is a MUCH better and more reliable way to gear up. It’s just about as easy as LFR too.

I had a 366 ilvl TERRIBLE tank on a freehold 0 last night (on my mage). I mean we might as well just not even had a tank. Still finished it and the terrible tank got 2 pieces of gear.

It’s best to just leave LFR be and ignore it.

Aaaaaaannnnd there we have it. “You shouldn’t get good gear because it makes me feel less special”

That’s literally all it ever is.

That or they feel less special because they aren’t the only people seeing raid content. :woman_shrugging:

Of course not. Who would expect to do 0 effort and get the same rewards as people who do something more challenging?

Do you at your entry level position go into work expecting to be paid at the VP level?

No. Because that’s silly

Get rid of lfr and just keep flex normal.

It would really do most of that quality of player a favor. Lfr has dumbed down that level of player significantly. It’s like the wood league of wow. Which is really not good.

This is the first game I’ve played that the skill of the lower level nubs has gone down due to content rather than up.

I play war3 and sc2 at a higher level - the noobs from back a couple years ago are at a decent skill level today. That’s what happens - you’re supposed to learn and grow over time. That’s why content has gotten more difficult.

We still have people that take 3-4 attempts to like do the bubble mechanic in crucible or defile vs arthas correctly. Literally still standing in fire.

Somethings gotta be done imo or it holds back the devs too - because dumbing down content too too much is not good.

Normal is face roll and fills that roll. Rather than increasing LFR’s difficulty, you should advocate for allowing Normal to be queueable.

LFR is designed to get people to experience the content that normally wouldn’t be able to see the content for any number of reasons: Time restraints, Anti-social, Don’t want to put the effort in etc. They are people that DON’T want a challenge. Are there some that do want a challenge but for some reason can’t do other difficulties? Sure but the solution wouldn’t be to increase LFR’s difficulty and take away raiding from those that don’t want to put effort in.

What’s silly is equating a video game played for entertainment with a job.

Literally said in my post …that i love LFR and what it makes people able to see or do.

Seeing content is always great and a story mode should be in the game imo.

Try to read the entire post next time instead of bandwagoning
