The level of hipocrisy..

Holy !@#$. I've read on this forums quite a bit, that Classic players are willing to pay any price to play their precious game, and I do get that. However, now that the price is out, and it's 15$ for a WoW sub that includes retail and Classic, you guys think it's overpriced and want it to be cheaper and separate from retail. What hypocrisy! Guess you don't want to pay any price, your entitled to it being cheap because you've played on pirating private servers for free. Either that or you hate retail so much, you don't want to cosmetically fund it, even though no matter what, by paying for Classic your funding it. So silly, I really hope this doesn't represent the greater Classic community.

EDIT: Seems like most of the Classic people don't agree with them, good. Remember, this isn't directed at everyone, just them.
I'm glad the subs are connected. That's really good news for classic, because when people get tired of playing modern wow, but still want to play wow, they can just hop right into classic.

Also, making gold in modern wow and using it to fund sub for both is a winnnnnn.

I'm happy too, but the "pure" classic players are having a fit because "tourists" might ruin their pristine game.

There's also something to say about the level of hypocrisy of retail players that are so butthurt at the notion of a separate sub when they themselves are getting classic absolutely free. Many players don't want to subsidize retail content updates, let alone play bfa to begin with. Shoving a bundle down someone's throat in order to prop up a dying bfa expansion isn't allowing the consumer to pay for the specific product they want.

Next thing you know we'll be required to buy Diablo immortal micros in order to keep our wow classic sub running.

It doesn't. It's like five poor people who get shouted down by the rest of us for being pathetic beggars. Keep shutting them down and they'll go away.

No one's forcing you to pay. By all means, feel free to keep playing on your shoddy, third world private servers if spending $15/month on WoW is going to cause you to go hungry.
Yes you seen a couple of random people on a forum shouting about the cost, that represents the entirety of everyone who wants to play classic. /sarcasm off

None of what you said is a compelling argument to charge 15 a month for a static game with no new content. That's ok though just like die-hard apple fans you'll take whatever your master will sell to you gladly at any price, regardless of the market value of any other game of a similar nature.

Activision loves this kind of attitude.
You're right, they shouldn't charge $15/month. They should account for inflation since 2004 and charge somewhere around $20/month to preserve that genuine Classic experience #NoChanges
Pretty silly conclusion.

I doubt anyone has changed their opinions on sub fees. Classic crowd has always been divided on what the sub fee should be. One would assume the people complaining now are the same ones who were complaining then.

Those unwilling to pay such a small fee for the game are those that for whatever reason don't want linked subs, those that don't understand how much it actually takes to maintain servers, OR people posting to make the problem look like it's bigger than it is (trolls). Only the first of those groups has any decent point and all three of them are the minority...

The sub fee is a non-issue especially next to loot trading and sharding issues.

Because there's been a lot of inflation on games? The prices outside of collector's editions or special editions have remained pretty stagnant since the 90s my friend. Unless you live in Australia perhaps.
It's like the same 5 people complaining about it on every thread LUL
Yeah those who argue the monthly price are idiots. I'm die hard no changes and a purist, $15 is more than fair for this game.

You don't want to subsidize retail? So what you're saying is you want Classic free (Since if Classic costs money, money goes to Blizz, funds Retail).. Nope, because businesses work to make money. If your paying for Classic, Blizz is giving you retail on the side for free, say thank you and move on instead of complaining like a 10 year old who got a gift he didn't like.

So don't play, buddy. You're not entitled to playing the game cheap. It's a product, the company decides the price, you can complain all you want but nothing will change that. If you want to play free you pirate it by playing servers, illegally.

Yup, this is directed at those people. Good to know they don't represent most of the community.

So what you're saying is you want Classic free

No, nobody ever said that except for trolls I think. Anytime someone can't win an argument they seem to inject that statement as well. When you inject things that someone never said in the first place you're relying heavily on strawman bs.
Connected subs is a great business decision.

But in reality, having toxic retail players who get to dip their toes in classic for free (just because they play retail) is disappointing to me.
Thankfully I'm middle age in a good job and $15 is a laughable cost for a month's worth of entertainment. Because god knows I'd pay it anyway and I'm glad I won't miss it.
