The level of disattachment that the developers have from their fanbase is extremely concerning

SoD was Blizzard telling EA to “Hold my beer” on delivering an unfinished product and making the gamers fix it for them.

It’s unfortunate because I think the devs are pretty earnest about trying to keep to a classic design mentality, but people just want to complain about obtaining runes over and over, it’s just going to end up being given out in the intro quest.

False, horde had to travel to contested zones. Alliance had to go to those same contested zones. Enjoy rachett and the complete ganking impunity you have there. Alliance also had several classes that had to go to ashenvale for runes. Clearly horde dominated.

You are ignoring the issue. No one is asking for easy runes.
We are asking that the alliance have the same level of time and effort to get their runes as the horde do.

it’s always been this way, some stuff in game has been easier for horde, some stuff easier for alliance, would you prefer everything be homogenized and generic?

There is a neutral transit to Ratchet, and from there you are one zone (half a zone since ratchet is halfway there) to ashenvale.

If you think alliance getting to Ratchet and ashenvale requires the same amount of time and distance (more distance is more chances to get ganked, resulting in more time) than horde travelling to Wetlands (not a neutral transport) and Redridge, than I /beg/ you to do the two routes and tell me that alliance do NOT have it drastically easier to get their runes.

You don’t know what you are talking about… Only alliance in hillsbrad are fishing or heading to SFK. So you run through arathi which is all but empty… big deal. Redridge? Take easy run through duskwood, just void the road. Lets also face it… Alliance aren’t as toxic and will let horde run past. Try that on the flip side. On top of it… Alliance then get to get rolled by every horde group coming to do those runes day and night. Meanwhile horde get to do their entire 1-25 grind and never once be flagged for PVP.

Warlocks have to go into durnhold… There are no alliance quests within 2 zones for that level. Place is crawling with horde and if you die after using the bomb you are out 5g. The rune can also be stolen.

this kind of comment makes me think the developers actually did a perfect job of executing the classic design.

You say I have no idea what I am talking about but then say there is no PvP happening in Hillsbrad? Also Duskwood is an alliance leveling zone.

Also you saying alliance is less toxic? I want to make a tangent here. Are you saying that pvp on a pvp server is toxic?

There is no amount of pvp happening in hillsbrad because alliance have no reason to be there. Duskwood is neutral. Alliance get rolled 20 times a day trying to quest out there. It’s actually insane.

I have no faith debating someone who thinks “pvp on a pvp server” is toxic.

congratulations you have all had an experience that made getting your reward sweeter, you also hate the opposing faction more.

this is perfect, I hope they stick to this and don’t cave in / start calling everyone champion and handing them a goody bag with all their runes.

what’s toxic is that alliance get screwed from lvl 13-25 being flagged in literally every zone while horde can go all the way to 25 without ever being flagged.

The level 10-20 zones are not contested. You can still in westfall, and then grab the high level quests in loch modan and also the NE second zone.

Hunter pets ALWAYS scaled with attack power, what they did was rebalance HOW they scaled, at this level specifically.

Oh yes totally don’t take a normal leveling path to avoid being tagged at all costs vs going from durotar to the barrens and laugh all the way to lvl25. They will then get to get the next 5 levels and still not get tagged. Show me how alliance can get to 30 without getting flagged…

The barrens do not have enough quests to get you to level 30, let alone level 25.

Lol try again… done it multiple times

You keep saying that… I don’t think that means what you think that means.
