Forsworn have a point they dont want to lose their memories, but murdering everyone who disagrees is not exactly better. At least blue people let them live

You’re not wrong but they are framed to be bad because not wanting your memory erased = = suddenly also wanting to justify violence against normal kyrians.
I think they would be far more effective at overthrowing without violence but that can’t happen for plot reasons.

I went into the zone all ready to go with Kyrian as my covenant, and yeah, minus the whole “murder everyone who disagrees” aspect, I agree substantially more with the Forsworn.

I am glad other people saw them as creepy. They just seem brainwashed and establishment types. Anytime the establishment is upset true colors and weaknesses are shown.

The forsworn are basically folks doing things akin to deprogramming people that have cult-like behiavor instilled into them. Even the Maldraxxi call what happens to Kyrians brainwashing if you listen in to some trying to turn Kyrians into an abomination. However, the forsworn have also chosen to trade their cult like mannerisms for a being that wants to escape and kill everything.

The funny thing is that the Souls can just sit in Bastion and not sacrifice all Memories! They just do it so that they can join in the Soul Ferrying Business! If they wanted to they can just relax in paradise as long as they want!
There normally is even a Portal to Oribos available allowing the Souls to traverse the Afterlives if they get bored!
To become a Winged Kyrian you must be brainwashed while if you want to just relax in Bastion or wander out to some other part of the Shadowlands you don’t need to do anything!

At this point I’ll be having my dumbest character (his name is Horse) be the one who swears allegiance to Bastion.
I think the Forsworn started out as free thinkers, trying to shake off the cult’s thinking from the inside but they were sitting ducks to be used by greater powers who saw their intellectual rebellion as a tool to wield against the Kyrian.
It’s very sad.

Fallen Kyrians normally can simply leave Bastion through the exit we came in!
Kyrians don’t need to sacrifice there Memories if they decide they don’t want to Ascend to Winged Kyrians!
Forsworn are much more forceful than Kyrians and lack any subtlety about it!
They are just as much a Cult as the Ascended are!

Land there is the problem. If you have your memories, your own moral compass would not be good to pass judgment on souls(uther) on the other hand, your losing your identity to become a cog in a machine.
