The rock Elementals in badlands. JFC probably killed a hundred of the damn things for ten rocks lol
I love when quest items take forever. Its puts a goal to grinding. Ive ended up with more xp and loot from drop quests than, go kill 10 of these quests.
I got this on my first shaman kill… took us 2 hours to get one to drop for a poor druid running around in there…
Pridewing venom sacs. I killed the rare there several times while I was grinding lol.
I think I I died a bazillionty times on my priest doing that darn quest. Murlocs are now my sworn enemies for life.
Don’t look at item drop quests as item drop quests anymore, just look at them as Extended Kill mob quests
I am about 100 kills in on getting the tuyere to drop in searing gorge. The guy I was grouped with got it on the first kill. I’ve still not gotten it.
Helcular’s Rod from the Yetis in Hillsbrad. Got ganked twice so discounting the GY running, I’d say about an hour and a half-two hours easy.
The quest that sends you to Tanaris to gather Scorpid, Basilisk and Hyena samples but not all the samples are good enough. Took me way longer than I imagined it would and it gives you a 2 hour time limit.
My RNG has been really good while leveling, this makes me worried that its gonna be terrible at 60.
No epics in your future friend.

Karnitol Shipwreck for me too, I honestly thought the ship never even sank.
Not exactly a “drop,” but the quest chain “infiltrating the castle” was agony to get to work. There appear to be trolls deliberately locking down Tyrion (quest NPC) by starting the quest and then logging off so that he remains uninteractable-with to other players. These people need to be found and burned at the stake.
Oh sweet mother, the pristine tigress fang in STV. I almost dropped and reaccepted that quest thinking it may have been bugged.
