So, we have multiple issues that are splitting the community and for one I'm happy about that there is discourse, this is exactly what Vanilla is about, extremely vocal people keeping the social community alive. I can only imagine when you put in the ability to go kill them and camp them, that aspect is what vanilla is about.
Graphical updates, people don't like it some think its a non-issue and others love the updates.
con - removes ability to hide via bushes, underwater ect BUT enemy nameplates negates that argument quiet a bit actually and I think after we actually start playing the game that the issues we argued about will be forgotten.
right-click reporting, so far I think we have made enough noise that blizzard sees the issue with guild competition + right-click reporting could do with world bosses ect so It's safe to say that will be resolved.
con - ruining the barrens chat experience. lets think about it for a second, you have to get a pretty good number of reports to actually mute you, I don't think there would be that many actually reporting for you to get muted, you might get a report here and there but it won't add up enough for the auto mute to make a difference.
Overall the demo is a good example on where Blizzard is heading with this, they obviously added new features in to get feedback, and too only get this amount of new things is a good sign. I would of thought with a demo they would maybe test the waters with a few more things but they are careful because they know what the community wants, A real authentic vanilla experience.
Its safe to say Blizzard leans on the side of the purists too medium changes crowd rather than the new/pro excessive changes crowd.
We should move forward with proper discussions on important topics, instead of bumping the troll changes threads ect, if you dont respond to them then their thread will drop down passed 1st page, and who ever reads the 2nd page come on.
In vanilla, nameplates only appear at 10 yards. They have at least doubled this distance in the demo.

I'm still upset that we can download it. Everybody should have to go camp outside of a store to get their own, the way Metzen intended.
