There are many purposes Bots can have besides gold.
Leveling Bots are real and can exist on ANY server, “dead” or “alive”.
I was replying to a poster that claims there’s no botting on his pristine servers. The leveling botters you mention likely don’t exist there either. Who is going to buy leveling on a dead server? What service will create bots to level a couple lazy players.
No economy, no bueno.
I never made that claim. The blight that is GDKP has been purged; however, the occasional bot can still be found haunting the halls of Stratholme/Dire Maul.

Indeed. The free transfers (all transfers really) should be discontinued. They no longer serve a purpose except to exploit the smaller communities for their resources. I said as much in my thread about this topic:

The way I read this, I just imagine Blizz sending in a team of assassins to literally unalive the person running the bot and the person who bought the gold.
