So, our bronze dragons are a strange bunch. They seem to have an awareness of their existence throughout their own personal timelines - though how deeply aware they are seems to vary.
Nozdormu, for instance, knows how things are to be. In his personal timeline, he is to become Murozond - and he falls at our hands in our quest to find the dragon soul. Kairoz on the other hand kept an orc by him that, had he the same prescience, he wouldn’t have. He had grand ambitions - Garrosh cut them short.
I suppose I’m just curious as to how…curated this prime timeline can be when the Bronze Dragonflight can barely keep track of time themselves. The more I think of the “Prime” timeline, the more I see it as a means for the Titans to control the uncontrollable - fate.
Each of the dragonflights were given an impossible task. The red were to safeguard life when the realms of lie so close to this world. The green were made to guard the Dream, an uncharted mindscape that has only churned out horrors. The blue were granted stewardship over unlimited power - despite the knowledge that such power corrupts. The black were connected to the earth - the very earth that the titans KNEW was swimming with Old Gods - and the bronze?
The bronze were told to keep time itself in place. To prune choices and decisions so that only a very specific goal could be reached.
Each of these assignments is…easier said than done. We’ve seen each flight falter and weaken as time has gone on - and it seems to come as a surprise to each of them including the bronze. It’s like we’ve gotten this far by shear luck.
Long and short of it, I don’t think infinite are…trying to destroy everything
They’re trying to free Fate. To let everything and everyone choose their own paths. We are all chained to this half-baked titan design that has never had an ounce of forethought put into it. The titans barely predicted Sargeras was turning to evil - I doubt they knew what they were doing when they have an admittedly noble lizard dominion over all time.
