It’s unbelievable that some players were able to earn up to 20k gold before you addressed the gold farming incursion issue. Right after launching a new phase, your team should be ready to fix problems quickly with hotfixes. The delay has already caused too much damage. By the time you nerfed the gold gains, a lot of players had missed out. Those who didn’t exploit it early are now at a huge disadvantage. This isn’t fair, and you need to step up your game. This situation is not acceptable.

20k is 100 hours of farming that. That’s a lot of man hours and IMO well worth it. CC warriors who work 100 hours at lucrative jobs can swipe for more than 20k.
I knew about that gold farm and didn’t do once.
It was way too unfun and repetitive, no kill laps feel like work, and I’m not playing a game after work, to work again to amass a huge amount of gold that’s in no way needed
“Ooh, but bis enchants and consumes will save you an hour of raiding doing higher dps” yep, and I would be wasting more hours to farm gold than I’d ever save doing that
People were farming 600g/hr when it first released. It also in no way invalidates the OPs post bringing up the people who buy gold, nor does it justify the gold that people who didn’t do this either.
It was a silly albeit efficient way to gold farm. No one did anything wrong including Blizzard. They didn’t realize how depraved most WoW players are… it’s fixed now and the economy will heal.

It was essentially Blizzard putting the wrong decimal in the wrong place. While players are not to blame on this, the problem is severely reducing the gold for those coming late to the party. They should have increased the gold on the kill quests and lowered the other gold quests to compensate. At least this way, if you spend the time doing all the quests you can still make a decent amount of gold for your time.

I know I did it a bit yesterday. From 41-44and made like 100g…not great but it’s better than farming ore and herbs for hours

Yes. My main is still rolling in P1 GDKP gold. I’m set for the whole season. This isn’t a post of “Wahhhh I missed out” This is a post to simply say, that they need to be faster with their fixes or nerfs than they have been.
Not really… the main 12 quests were 3 rescue, 3 boss, 3 intelligence and 3 relics.
So if you were super lucky 12 @ 35g per 9min loop. Loops depending on your luck staying alive and getting quests. Best case scenario was 233 gold per hour. Most were very short of that in the 80-100 gold an hour.
Same with horde.
People are crying for nothing as usual.

No, like many other hotfixes/patches/changes they have made to sod so far, they release the patch notes with the changes several hours, sometimes days, after the change is made, if they every announce it at all.
