Easy fix would be a version of Merc mode that was always on and directed people into the shortest faction q.
That wouldn't change the fact that most alliance players in random bg's are trash, but it would totally remove any excuses people are using about faction 'balance' being the reason they lose as much as they do.

It's tough because the best solution for unrated would probably be to just make bgs faction neutral. That would be a tough sell at this point in the game's life though.

If this was the case they shoulda did it from the start of legion seeing how we were working together to stop the legion. If they were to do it now it would feel awkward. Given the whole Alli vs horde theme rn . Not that i would be against it just it would be weird.
