Yeah lol… I gave up on Herb this week and went LW.
There was no way, absolutely no way I was getting a full x20 stack of ANYTHING with 60% flying.
Meanwhile, I have all this leather sitting in my Mules bank I can turn into heavy knothide…

That is pretty easy to determine…
If you dive for an herb with impeccable accuracy, able to click it immediately despite it being at least partially obscured, not replying to whispers or replying with canned replies, not having a guild and maybe even being a Hunter with a pet’s name in a different character set than is normal for US Servers.
While not being irrefutable proof that this is a bot or a gold seller, it is a pretty good indication towards it.
Man most herb farmers out there are not bots, your view is all messed up on the topic.
You guys just jump to BOTS BOTS BOTS REEEE without considering the amount of people playing this game and farming absolute mountains of gold to pay for crafting, chants, gems, consumes, and boe gear, at a time in the server’s life when everyone is poorly geared relative to later on.
Personally I’ve yet to see a single bot out in the world in TBC and I play on a mega server. Ofc, there are a number of them in Maraudon, but farming herbs where they have to compete with real players? No way dude, poor use of time, and time is money.
They didn’t listen 6 months ago and they’re not listening now. Blizzard created bloated overpopulated servers because it’s cheaper than actively managing server population to prevent dead realms. At least they’re starting to temp ban gold buyers again (3 day ban for all the good that will do)
What do you need herbs for anyway? Is this a parses thing? You cant stack pots and I thought everything was a joke pve.
I’m still genuinely confused. You want more herbs on the map… which is going to make herbs worth less.
So you’ll pick more herbs and sell them, but they’ll be proportionally less in value due to the saturation. Meaning, you’ll maybe sell more herbs at a price that is less than current market value, which, in the end will probably earn you less than you’re currently earning with sales.
This is dumb, no? There is no herb shortage
Also, if you don’t have epic flying, you’re not gonna get herbs
The amount of people wanting to farm all mats is crazy. Looking at crafting lists everyone is trying to get eenough to Enchant/Craft/Craft every piece of bis gear so they can go after the parse since content is basically to easy again. On top of that the people wanting to make money on the people doing all these things who dont want to complete goes in the favor of the way servers rolled out. Add in the bloated numbers and layers and you have a perfect storm of over crowded everything.
Even if blizzard upped the spawn rates people would still farm it out to either stockpile for the future or try to sell it. The rate in which it would need to be in order for people to not complain on the gathering end would make prices so low that good would virtually become free.
Another thing not being taken into account. You have potion and elixir masteries.
How you level the last five points of engi w/o khorium? Asking for a friend.
Why does everyone want to pick flowers so much. Like seriously I cant understand it. We get all these bots making our lives cheaper and easier and get to circumvent all the boring tedious and bad parts of the game and your sad about that because you cant find any flowers to pick? bro get a life.
Why give the bots money when players can makee it ?
I’m also an alchemist - I USE them, or used to.
Yes there is an herb shortage. Again, what is it with forum goers and their inability to do math?? Blizzard increased populations by up to 5X, but did nothing to adjust resources. That means there is an herb shortage. Huge duh. This is basic stuff, here. It’s not like you’re having to solve a complex equation.
Fixed for accuracy.
Why does everyone think outsourcing to China is a bad thing? It’s okay if people lose their jobs, we get stuff cheaper. bro get a life
All Hail China! The savior of our pocketbooks!
I mean the point about higher population limits with original herb spawn rates isn’t wrong. It’s definitely a change, and a negative one at that. But Blizz doesn’t seem to look at it as an issue. It took them a long time to address Black Lotus, and they never touched other herbs that had similar issues.
So I don’t think they’ll change it here either. I really wish Mana Thistle were a bit more abundant though, cause if we do actually end up needing to make protection potions/cauldrons later on it’s going to be far worse than the Greater Shadow Protection Potion crisis last phase.
They’ve shown they’re fine turning on dynamic spawning for mobs, so they could either turn that on for nodes and/or turn layers back on PVE realms.
Average player is pulling down 1K gold per week now this is not a big deal.
It’s like, so easy dude. Just pick the flower before the automated program does
Average player is pulling down 1K gold per week now this is not a big deal.
Only as long as you have quests left to do… remember, daily quests (apart from the dungeon quests) aren’t in the game yet.
@Delimicus, I wish I were on your realm… those prices are cheap! Here on Mankrik, they are at around 7 gold a piece.
1k/week
142g 85s 72c/day
About 14-20 quests a day at max level
No, the “average” player is not pulling that down, maybe the people you play with do, but not the average.
