Yeah and people are still just going to find ways to avoid the entire thing, either by refusing to participate further than they have to, or just isolate themselves, and find mods that nearly automate the process.
Levelings not an interesting part of RPGs, I’m sorry it’s not. It’s not fun spending 30 hours with a half baked character without all your abilities, the end game is what people mostly want more than anyhting.
There’s some people that are into leveling, go ahead, level to your hearts content, repeat the same boring process over and over again as many times as you feel fulfills you.
To me? It’s a massive waste of time.
The first time you go through a leveling process might be somewhat interesting, but when you’ve done it 20+ times it’s simply not engaging.
You’re not getting rid of “Cheaters” your not hitting RMT with this, you’re just making life harder for people, sure people made a buisness power leveling people, and maybe some of those people were not great people and did shady things, but this is going to harm normal players more than it harms the boosters. The boosters will just find another way to do it.
Leveling in classic wow is probably one of the worst experiences you can put yourself through in modern day.
I think if that were actually true, this forum might not have been flooded with so many seething cheaters and exploiters over this.
I’m sorry to hear you feel that way. Of course, I’d suggest that you just level alts if you don’t find it to be a fun experience! I see no reason why people feel so compelled to play games they don’t like.
That’s fine. But it doesn’t mean that this game should be retrofitted to fit their personal tastes. Once again, if you don’t like this game, you should find something else to do with your time! This is a video game after all. People should only play it if they actually want to!
That may be so. And people don’t need to do it 20 times.
Once again, this is a video game. People shouldn’t play it if it “makes their lives harder”.
No, I don’t think so. Because “normal players” play this game because they like it. That’s the normal reason to play a video game.
Gotcha. I’d suggest you check out Retail if you dislike it so much.
No, I’ll just keep to my 1-2 characters, that I have in classic, and refuse to level anything further, because leveling is just trash in Classic.
Blanket terming everyone getting power leveled as cheaters is why people don’t take you seriously.
Leveling is a horrible experience, but it’s also not -the game- like you seem to be trying to imply it is. So try to dial down the condescension if you want anyone to take you seriously.
Level is just a mandatory waste of time that we all have to deal with, and people have done it countless times over a decade and a half, it’s not interesting anymore to most players.
That’s great, I’m happy that you’re finding your own niche in the game. I’m glad that there’s something for all of us.
I refer to the people who take part in the dungeon carry economy as exploiters, not cheaters. When I mention cheaters, I’m specifically talking about botters and gold buyers/sellers.
Also, people already never took me seriously before I started saying this because they disagree with me and they automatically ignore everything that doesn’t agree with them. So don’t worry about, this is nothing new to me.
Incorrect.
If you weren’t already taking me seriously, I have absolutely no interest in changing the way I talk to ‘earn’ your respect. I’ve been perfectly reasonable in my discussions, and if you think I’m being condescending, I think you’ve more likely just got an inferiority complex.
Correct. This is the case with most video games. We’re all wasting our time in a way that gives us enjoyment. Once again, no one is being forced to play games they dislike. If people don’t like the experience WoW offers, they should check out other games!
Cool, then I’ll just mark you off as someone to just ignore, and stop engaging with, because there is not benefit in doing so from now on.
Leveling is still awful, which is why blizzard has to constantly nerf how much experience you have to grind through and added heirlooms in wrath to make it less awful.
Just because you like doing repeated monotonous chores that have absolutely zero engagement nor challenge, doesn’t mean a majority of the player base does.
Power leveling isn’t an exploit, no matter how much you try to twist it, but you have zero intention on actually reflecting on this, and have decided 'Your way" to play the game is the only way that’s acceptable, thus this is the last time I’m engaging with you, because i value my time more.
Don’t worry, I already knew you were ignoring my arguments. No need to tell me.
Incorrect. They reduce the amount of experience needed when they add new content to the game. Higher level cap means they want people to spend less of the overall leveling experience in old content.
Well, that’s literally what this game is, so I don’t know what to tell you. I guess the majority of the player base is playing a game they don’t like? Can’t imagine why this playerbase you refer to is actually playing the game if you think that.
Yes it is. Which is why it’s being removed from the game. It’s an unintended loophole in the game’s design, and it would have been fixed a long time ago if the issue was as prevalent as it is today.
Incorrect. It’s not my fault that you choose to ignore any reflection that you disagree with.
Well it’s not “my way”, it’s literally just the way the game was designed.
The leveling was already fairly quick and easy unless you are some unbalanced person who must have there ice cream right this second. If you want to play a game, play the game, don’t try to make it conform to what you want. If you don’t like what the game is, play something else.
There is retail for silly fast leveling and paid boosts if you just really can’t wait that whole 4 or 5 days /played it takes to level and alt. I don’t fault a company for monetizing societal impatience or gamer-induced devaluing of character investment. It is smart.
