I embrace my furry new race
Maybe, we will finally know what the fox says
Do you still think Arthas is still alive while Deathwing is flying about just causing the Cataclysm while the Legion is invading while the Iron Horde is invading while the faction war is happening while people are going to Outland to fight Kael’thas and Illidan?
It’s a game.
I mained Horde from BC to Cata and this is a straight up lie.
As Horde you skipped Ashenvale for most of this game’s History because the questing there was sparse, and instead moved towards stonetalon and thousand needles.
Even now the questing isn’t much better for Horde than a more compact zone like Southshore.
Not trolling. You said it yourself that Blizzard’s writing is awful. So why should anyone care what happens to Ashenvale as long as it stays the same in-game?
Nope, why would you think that? I understand the story progresses. But unless it affects gameplay it really doesn’t matter what they put in the books and such.
Silverwind Refuge, Warsong Lumber Camp, Zoram’gar Outpost, Hellscream’s Watch, Skunkworks, Mor’shan Rampart.
Do I need to post more to prove how wrong you are? Maybe find a long list of Ashenvale quests for Horde?
Also the current Ashenvale zone is from Cataclysm. I never said anything about pre-Cata. I can’t lie if I never said it, so do not put words into my mouth.
Looks at the time this was made. Ahh … its the time of day where Elesana makes her patented (I need to remind everyone that the Horde is bad and the NEs are the victims) thread. She could just bump one of her two dozen older threads she created on this exact same topic, but NO she needs to flood both GD and the Story Forums with this nonsense.
Also, as to the topic on hand. I am unsure what story you were following, but by the time Sylvanas bailed, the Alliance was not in enough of a position of power to assert the authority over the Horde you are suggesting. I get that notion infringes upon the Alliance’s SUPER power fantasy, but due to Saurfang’s gambit he ultimately resulted in the TWO fielded Horde Armies to merge with a shocking lack of causalities. I am also uncertain what sort of punishment you want, but you should try to remember that the Horde playerbase didn’t ask for this story; and that there is ONLY so much you can punish THEM for what the writers chose to do with their faction and characters.
Yes, and these are outdated as in the lore, the horde fully retreated from Ashenvale after MoP. The zone was just never updated.
Is it really that hard to understand?
Even in Cataclysm that wasn’t because you deserve to be there. That was a volatile occupation taking up a small 1/4th of the map at the behest of Garrosh Hellscream.
You legit don’t pay more attention than you need to, huh?
Okay but I can go there and quest there. You say it’s “not true” the Horde isn’t there because you can go there and quest. So it “Isn’t true” that say, Arthas isn’t still around because I can go there and quest in Northrend. I get that it doesn’t matter if it’s not in game to an extent. But the game isn’t a representation of everything that happens/is happening either. If you want to discount everything outside it then that’s fine, but be consistent and say everything is happening at once.
What I don’t understand is why any of this matters if it isn’t going to be shown in-game?
Proven wrong and you jump straight to insults. Real classy.
Also it wasn’t 1/4 of the map, I will admit it’s not 50/50 but it is well over 1/3 of the map. And I don’t care about any “deserve to be there” crap.
You mean your repeated fan fiction? How did horde “betray” the alliance at broken shore if we did not have a treaty?
Alliance: We can’t have good or interesting story, are never the aggressors, and never win!
Blizzard: OK here is Genn attacking the Forsaken fleet out of vengeance and beating Sylvanas.
Alliance: That was perfectly justified and he didn’t kill her so it wasn’t a victory!
Blizzard: We give up, enjoy some more horse mounts.
These threads are why the Alliance only gets horses.
How can you be the classic hero if you are not riding on a horse?
It’s not true because we can see his death. You can go and kill him. That has happened. What hasn’t happened in-game is the Horde leaving Ashenvale. You can talk about the lore all day and night, but that is not what I’m arguing. I’m not sure how you can’t see this is a false equivalency.
I’m perfectly consistent. If I can see it happen in-game, then it has happened. If it’s just a lore tidbit, it doesn’t matter until it’s brought up in-game. Book stuff gets retconned so frequently it honestly doesn’t matter.
You can go kill him then go quest and he’s alive again. He’s both alive and dead. Weird.
There is a bit of truth to this. I keep seeing this Alliance posts about how they’re sick of the Horde getting all this attention, and demand that they get the same. But what they actually mean is they want all the focus, but expect it to be actually written in a non insulting way for them (that DOESN’T result in widescale loss of their reps and them being forced to spend half an expansion killing their own people instead of the opposing faction).
Its weird…
Proven wrong how? I feel as though you missed something or are over estimating your argument.
Also, thanks, definitely not classy.
Basically.
The Alliance says they want the attention the Horde gets…but they don’t mean it.
They want a story written about them, that shows them win everything, never suffer a loss, never have a leader die or go crazy, destroy a Horde playable city (with no trade off), and still remain the good guys.
That is not the attention the Horde gets.
Keep up with the discussion. You accused me of lying about Ashenvale being a contested zone that Horde have plenty of quests in. I proved you wrong by posting all of the Horde quest hubs. I’m not sure what you’re missing.
