Horde has commited many horrible atrocities already, and every time it gets away unpunished and without losing anything.
They know that their actions don’t have consequences, and this is why they will never restrain from doing similar things in the future.
Usually, the horde commits their crimes, a few people feel bad about it, then the warchief gets swapped and everything is forgiven and forgotten because it’s assumed that they will change.
Varian and Tyrande did the exact same mistake at the end of SoO, and see where that got us? Anduin was even present during that time, did he forget that?
“If your horde fails to uphold honor again, as garrosh did, we will end you”. - Varian Wrynn
Now the horde has not only bombed a city like in MoP, instead they invaded lands even though they signed a treaty to NOT invade these lands, killed every civilian on sight and ended it with a genocide.
How can ANYONE even think that there’s still good in the horde? Are our leaders really that stupid? Anduin didn’t even push the horde to leave the lands that they invaded. On paper, Darkshore and Ashenvale are still night elf lands and the horde has promised to not invade. Currently they are in the process of destroying those lands and blighting them after.
And after that, Anduin wants to make another treaty with the horde because… it worked so well the last time ? What ?
Can our leaders be a little bit less stupid and passive, maybe? It just doesn’t make sense at all.
You can’t expect them to obliterate the faction which was babysat by Blizz since the early days of WoW.
That’s why you get these pretend war games where they kill off one important character while the other faction gets wiped off the surface of the map slowly. It makes them say “WE LOST SOMEONE IMPORTANT no one cares about anything else” and claim to be “Not bad”.
Not obliterate but maybe… if they are going to make the horde genocidal maniacs, show them that their actions have consequences so they don’t do it again in 2 years?
Remember what happened when Golden joined the team with the book? She got death threats on twitter because she wrote Horde characters in a different way
I say we force them to make reparations by doing an Alliance reputation grind to repair all the damages they did. At the end they can earn a horse mount. The Horde will never start a war again because it will no longer be fun.
But camp taurajo, random Blood Elves in Dalaran and one spoilt brat in Stormheim losing her shiny light is enough to genocide the Alliance race one by one.
I love the camp example cause that wasn’t even Alliance. Back in Cata i played both factions a bit and that one friggin example proves Horde players, or at least the forum regulars, don’t read.
You forget the peace treaty being broken in Ashran which Horde players refuse to accept or suddenly erase from memory.
They claim there’s a peace treaty from MoP in Legion just because “Varian and Sylvanas are together in cinematic” despite knowing they were the aggressors in Ashran.
That gives me so many laughs. Too bad their fanfiction doesn’t work out.
why horde should be punishment by blizzard bad writing?
the horde would never do that, but blizzard made so,so they could push this dumb plot
they didn’t, this is a lie, the only civilians dead were in teldrassil by Sylvanus order, of course they would ave killed her there, but bizzard would not let that happen.
it was forsaken/sylvanas doing, only Available to alliance players, Saurfang all the time spared the civlians who didn’t fight and even free then like in darkshore.
There was the option in the questline to murder all civilians on site. It only takes one player to make that cannon and there are many videos of players doing exactly this.
On the Alliance side we get there and everyone is dead. So that’s what the lore is.
Edit: I do get what you’re saying, though. Lorewise we would have nuked the Horde using the Vindicaar after the assault in Ashenvale and wouldn’t have dealt with the weak Lion Prince’s excuses.
Even if we didn’t, lorewise Tryande and Malfurian should have easily had the power to obliterate Nathanos and the Val’kyr in Darkshore.
This Narrative team doesn’t care about lore.
