what we never did , sylvanas and the horde didnt care about who or what was in the tree , we didnt do what we did because we wanted to kill the night elfs only because we wanted to kill what the tree represented
so no thats not genocide because it wasnt an action targeted at a specific race in order to exterminate them or in order to even kill anyone
also them staying in the tree after having so much time to tp away is their own fault for being stupid or arrogant , they deserved it at this point
If the alliance pays me double. I’ll easily bring my explosions to their side and Reign down the mother load on the horde.
Alas, horde pays a pretty gold coin. So, nothing personal against the alliance, just business. I go where the gold is.

On a personal level, people upset over fictional genocides make me laugh.
On a character level, Vual cares not. My entire people and culture was wiped out by Arthas and the Scourge, and nobody cared. then, some of us manage to wrest ourselves free of the cult/slavery we were killed and forced into, and the Alliance races simply decided we are evil with no right to exist.
The Belfs have no leg to stand on, neither do any other races and factions, they have all committed hideous crimes.
Further - you, as a character, are a professional grave robber and killer.
Honestly, Vual would happily do what it takes to wipe out the Nelfs, or any other race, in favour of her own survival.
She’s currently trying to figure out how she can supplant Sylvanas at her moment of triumph and become a god.

Know what is loads of fun, watching Alliance characters die. I love dragging mobs to Alliance AoE’s just to watching them die. Not on this toon naturally, but my main Hunter.

The beauty is both sides have committed crimes, fanboys are just arguing who has done the less severe. It is like two obese people arguing over who is thinner forgetting both are at an unhealthy weight.

I defend nothing because I did nothing wrong. If given the chance I would burn their tree down again and then mana bomb the ashes just to be sure.

None of which would have happened if the Horde had turned on Mary Suevanus earlier and helped us drop her like the bad habit she is.
It still would’ve happened.
Let’s put it this way. Assume for a moment that after Teldrassil the Horde kicks Sylvanas out. Do you think the Alliance is going to stop at that point? Anduin might call for peace saying it was Sylvanas, but do you think for a moment the likes of Genn, Tyrande, Alleria, Rogers, etc… are going to accept that? By the same token, do you think the Horde’s Warhawks wouldn’t argue that there’s no turning back after Teldrassil, that it’s become an all or nothing war for survival?
Meanwhile Sylvanas would be free to act from the Shadows, continually causing one atrocity after another with each side conveniently blaming the other, making sure the peacemongers like Anduin and Baine are ignored.
This is kind of just how expansions work, though. Horde does some horrible stuff that they should be held accountable for, expansion ends, next expansion pretends like the factions never were at war, repeat.
