that’s not true at all. tauren paladins exist because they worship the sun/light.
Oh we’re pretending to be Blizzard again, cute.
Point wasn’t that they do exist, that there is no reason for them to “not” exist.
They exist because they thought the druids being in contact with the Night Elves would lead them to following Musha/Elune more than Anshe. The Sunwalkers are just literally extremist Anshe worshippers to balance out that influence.
They are literally supposed to be druids, but since Druids are a “Balance of elements”, they arent druids in gameplay.
Please show me an example of a Paladin who doesn’t use the Light.
That’s what im saying, 2 more Alliance paladins is balancing out gameplay.
It just so happens that it’s also supported by lore.
Cool, so we can’t read. Is that a Classic WoW thing or…?
Night elves and gnomes.
Gesundheit
But yes, Night Elves.
Thank you. But night elves have a precedent already with Paladin potential since Legion.
And gnomes could have picked up some Light worship since they basically are living in Ironforge and buddy-buddy with dwarves. It also makes more sense than DI Dwarf paladins.
Right, so you have no examples.
Let me just get this straight. You’re arguing for something that not only does not exist in the lore, it would break everything we know about said lore if it were put in the game.
So Void Elves using the Light already doesn’t break everything we know about Lore?
Unless you’re about to say Void and Light are interchangeable, in which case, that is the perfect case for Void Paladins.
Which wasn’t even the argument to start with, i was arguing if the Void elf customizations are in-lore way of showing unification with High Elves, why would Paladins not be a valid option if High Elves can be paladins?
I’ve already explained the differences between a Priest and a Paladin.
Dude. You got your compromise.
Be grateful you got as much as you did.
People have been asking for void elf skin tones, for quite some time, but what I’m more excited for is what the other allied races are getting!!..
Don’t get me wrong I’ll be making a pseudo high elf, but this means allied races are not off the charts for getting more customisation options either!! Which is so good!
Also I’m still waiting to see what Taurens will be getting!!, I need more horn choices!
Alternately, since the sole defining trait of high elves is that there human weebs, you could just roll a human and claim you’ve mastered your cosplay.
People that get angry to void elves customization, becouse they are still void elves, such get mad to wildhammer customization cuz, they are still regular dwarves
Weird flex but ok. Guess I’m a cosplayer now?
Like I’ve been trying to get people to articulate what actually makes high elves distinct enough from Sindorei to justify them as a playable race beyond them working with the alliance and the only answer I get is that they’re totes into human culture.
Which leads into some bizarre Matroyshka doll levels of meta, due to it being a human living out a fantasy of being an elf that’s fascinated by humans.
I stopped trying to make sense of it. People will have their own headcannon and do mental gymnastics around whatever narrative they want. Both elves both have cosmetic options from Queldorei now. Nothing else matters at this point. But subjecting a class to link in with a cosmetic skin? That’s extra. But hey at least people are happy.
It’s also a can of worms even Blizz is smart enough to not open; The OP may not have clued into this but he’s basically trying to have apartheid built into the system.
Like… that’s insane.
