The High Elf Love Thread đŸ„°

this is pure fanfiction. there are 6 alliance high elves. 2 in SW 4 in BFA content. the SC are down to a few hunters and a couple of mages. you could dissolve them and take the few elves living in that hut and reunify them with the blood elves and their numbers wouldnt make a difference

there also isnt ‘a ton of different lodges’ there were 2 groups of hut elves now we have just 1. there are no other organizations or groups outside of a neutral population of high elf citizens in dalaran. its almost like when development says ‘theres a couple’ they mean it

the alliance has a few individuals. thats it. ‘high’ elves are a non playable narrative, confirmed by multiple in game sources and dev commentary to have little in terms of population, who live in a neutral city, and arent an alliance race of any true standing because they are already a playable horde race

giving more development to a minor splinter faction of the blood elves, who almost certainly will never be playable, implies that a few alliance high elves pull as much weight/influence on the story as the blood elves, that they have an equal number of representation. which is nothing but a late night fanfiction

also i thought it was obvious why vereesa chooses to remain and will never leave the neutrality of dalaran, to honor the memory of rhonin who strongly believed in dalaran’s/kirin tor’s neutrality and ofc her half elf children

things change a lot especially back then during game development.

also before you run to the arms of your old enemies you run to the arms of the monsters that just brought you to ruin.

I see fyre hasn’t changed at all. The absurdity is somewhat entertaining at this point.

You can view it that way. doesn’t make you right.

Thats kind of obtuse, there is far more than just those in lore and in progressive content. And if needs be
Blizzard just randomly adds more as nameless NPCs.

By golly, its like Blizzard has never done that before. Ever. Ever ever.

Looks at night elves managing to make an army after literally losing a large portion of their population.

Theres that whole Outland group that hasnt been touched since Wrath. Where are they? Wheres Auric? What happened to them?

I mean Blizzard could write it, but they havent for their own reasons.

Which
if you think about it, kind of is quite dumb when void elves are considered an alliance race; and they were literally Horde blood elves until they were exiled at some unknown date during WoW’s lifetime.

That doesnt mean anything if they were hard set on Pandaren being the Alliance race. If the blood elves were originally Alliance in pre-pre-pre alpha
why was Pandarens literally the only things mentioned by Metzen? Why were they still on the Alliance addition when Blood Elves were on Horde?

If blood elves were being considered Alliance, then it would have to be SUPER early into development; which makes no sense on why they would add the background materials like the ambassador or the night elves that early when they werent the main focus.

Heavens to Murgatroyd is almost always correct and he certainly is this time.

Yes I can, and I do. As to right or wrong, since you’ve repeatedly refused - when challenged on a claim you’ve made - to provide actual citations that support your assertions, I’ll just hold to my opinion if that’s alright with you
and even if it isn’t.

but that is under the assumption that I am trying to make you believe what I say. As I said I know it is true and that is all I care about. Whether you believe it or not is not my concern.

Just because there are some parts of the story that don’t seem to make sense to some people doesn’t mean Blood Elves going Horde aren’t well written and a satisfying story. I believe the majority of players are good with the way they were written. They’re obviously a very popular race to play, the story can’t be as absurd as helfers try to claim.
The worst offenders are the salty helfers who have just never gotten over not getting them for the Alliance.

All of your arguments for helves which you refuse to prove should be considered trolling then.

I dont think that matters, tbh. He was the last remnants of the Alliance of Lordaeron, the Alliance that the high elves were apart of. And elves being finicky and whiny
they take every slight harder than they should.

I’ve enjoyed the story arc their race has gone through even as not everything is perfect much like any faction. It’s been exciting to see them at their lowest and slowly rebuild and move forward and I really can’t wait to see what the next few major patches/events have in store in the current storyline (even as it’s kind of a mess here and there.)

Yeah, I don’t see them written any ‘worse’ than the other races, certainly not as some people claim. I love the Blood Elf story.

I enjoy it too, it’s fascinating, I just wish we could have had more back ground to the races that weren’t set in stone to a faction and why they joined when they did. Namely Night elves and Blood elves, how we got from point A to point B is well
murky.

Not saying I am at all dissatisfied with the factions they belong too, just that people have pointed out credible reasons that the pendulum could have swung the other way.

Yeah, slow response, but had a long day.

I’m not sure what you’ve done or do for a living, but if you’ve ever gone through some sort of training on how to handle customers, one of the first rules it’s to find ways, manipulate words, to “soften the blow”.
No matter how resonable or unreasonable the customer is being, no matter how adjusted and mature they sound or if they sound immature and are foaming at the mouth, “no” it’s never the answer one gives to the customer. “I’m sorry but currently that is not possible”, “I’ll ensure to pass on the feedback so they can make changes to satify your request”, “I’m truly sorry but that’s not currently available”.
For the life of me, I can’t remember one opportunity (besides the Vanilla thing at least until they seemed to realize legal matters and lots of money were involved) where they said a flat “No”. Even when Ion was talking about not wishing to “blur the factions lines” it sounded as if he was an employee at a call center failing the “soften the blow” technique but not entirely dropping it.
So while I agree that a “No” would simply put this entire thing to rest, is not like they have not estated that it won’t happen, just in a very “business-like” way.

It starts to be obnoxious when you say this anytime the notion of spam is brought up.
Give it a rest. I dknt really care.

that isn’t the definition of trolling. If it was trolling that would mean I am trying to incite and anger people which that isn’t my goal.
