We can all agree that population is at least not the biggest issue facing the possibility of playable High Elves, right? While we have no hard numbers, other playable races also face population problems. Itâs not even one of the reasons Ion gave in the q&a (itâs not as though he was on the spot, he knew the question was coming well in advance)
Question is if it even really was a true battalion. Lorâthemar was worried about the number of blood elves after TBC, and the SC is a fraction of a fraction.
Chris Metzen did
The only time they appear is for the assault on the Suramar palace, which i a single battle. So in this case? Yes.
For real. draenei canonically had a population of 300 when they came to azeroth and were made playable.
YeahâŠthey kind of do. Other forum users should not have to deal with constantly high elf topic spam.
Quick reminder. This thread isnât considered spam. It was mass flagged, reviewed by the moderators and they had it removed from its hidden status. This means they have to be okay with in terms of the COC.
You do if youâre only capable of fielding one battalion.
I know Ion toyed with the idea of High Elves back in 2014 when he talked about the possibility of sub races, itâs why I still have some hope. Either way we wonât see them for a hot minute, if they ever do become available
but they tell us the silver covenant is the size of a regiment.
who said anything about giving high elves options for 2 models? I said give them a new model.
Void elves= standard model
High elf (your proposition= second model.
Alliance would have TWO versions of the thalassian race.
Horde would have only ONE.
okay? no one asked for void elves. besides last I checked sanâlayn is a very popular AR suggestion as well
The Darkspear tribe was also driven to near extinction twice. Void Elves are few in number regardless of whether or not theyâre growing, too
We also have every paladin and their mother wielding the one and only ashbringer, every player DK was risen as Arthasâ champion, and every DH lead the Illidari. Letâs not pretend that player options carry heavy weight in lore
They tell us this where?
in game. In one of the dialogues with them. I donât care to go check but it could have been from wrath MoP or legion.
I still think this is a self imposed restriction. It seems weird at first, but if it became reality nobody would bat an eye at it a year from now. It would just become the norm
âIt isnât the model you asked for, it is what Blizzard gave you, so deal with it.â
Why do you feel such words are appropriate for those who oppose you but not appropriate for yourself?
Cool, which means the alliance still has 2 thalassian models, which is basically 2 versions of a core horde race, and the horde only have nightborne.
What you want isnât always a good idea
It is a restriction based on getting the biggest bang for your buck.
Sounds legit.
I am not here to make you believe me. I donât care to. it isnât like your kind has ever listened to any proof we have provided for the past 2 years.
I know it is true and that is what matters to me.
Okay so in your argument, you need us to be different but cannot be? Letâs just say they get different hairstyles, I am good with that⊠the faction war is likely coming to an end after BfA (we will still have factions hopefully) models are no big deal, maybe only in pvp. But blizz easily shows a large difference with highlighting the enemy player red.
With out a faction war though admittedly it blurs the lines of how high elves going Alliance would be more possible. Maybe that open war with the Blood elves is much less possible, so Vareesa and co find it much easier to assist the alliance when it beckons now.
Make claim.
âCan you prove claim?â
Iâm not here to make you believe me.
Mate, you post as much headcanon as you like but you donât get to act self righteous when you do so.
I just donât see how the Alliance not getting High Elves gives anyone more bang for their buck. Ideally weâd all get more options to play with, so long as they make sense
