All is well at this point, took a nice long hike and did a little climbing yesterday so Iâm fine. On my way to replace my aging GTX 1060 3G with a GTX 1660s 6G this morning out of necessity - I made the âmistakeâ of buying Red Dead Redemption 2 and trying to run it yesterday. Itâs a gorgeous game but itâs a video memory hog, as in my 1060 will only run on mostly low without overflowing the memory on the card. (One of the great things about their setup screens is that they tell you exactly how much video RAM each setting is chewing up). Doubling it should let me play the game with textures close to maxed.
(And it does, and itâs glorious)
