Resto Druid’s need the heal spell. I don’t know why it was taken out of BfA. There was no reason to take it away. It was mana efficient, with a great heal, & a longer cast time than Regrowth. It kept things interesting with the entire rotation.
I’m not very smart like everyone else here, I just like to have fun. Really hope to see this spell return.
Do you mean Healing Touch?
I just can’t think of a reason I’d actually use Healing Touch unless current Druid mastery is reworked. Feels like a bloated spell.

It would only be borderline useful in m+ to do less drink pauses but completely useless on raids.
What’s the point?
Manage your mana better.
Oh… ok…I will try to manage my mana better.
I don’t really raid. I just miss the spell from being in my rotation. It was nice to have. I guess it just shouldn’t be then.
I long for the days of A Healing Spell.
I loved healing touch back in legion, like you said it was mana efficient and there was even a certain set up where it would add hots to your target and it would increase crit. When paired with incar, it was one of the best for rbg pvp.
I was upset when Healing Touch was removed as well, but I believe it was part of a deliberate design decision to lean into our HoT healer identity. A lack of direct healing is arguably our biggest weakness, but it can be almost completely overcome by skillful play. That’s good game design.

Healer DPS. That’s it Frens.
If there no reason to heal, the you shouldn’t be healing. If you don’t need to get out rejuvs for anticipated/incoming damage, and efflorescence and life bloom are out, then do damage.
Our mana efficient spell is Lifebloom. With Lifebloom and efflorescence out, we are doing mana-efficient healing and have globals to…you guessed it, DPS. Speaking in terms of mana efficiency, we spend little to no mana when doing DPS. So, stop overhealing and hit more bad guys.
Stay orange frens.

I get where you are coming from OP, I miss early Cata healing with regrowth, healing touch and nourish. Just felt nice, there was zero downtime back then and mana management was a much tighter ordeal.
