The Harbinger quest isn't appearing in the Chamber

Hey!
I wanted to complete The Harbinger questline before I go to complete the new pre-patch storyline, but when I approach the Chamber of the Guardian - Alleria, who’s supposed to be in the hallway isn’t there, neither is Khadgar in that room on the right. Anybody fixed this?

Just to note - tried abandoning the quest and accepting it again through adventure guide, stepping in and out, reloading - the issue is still there

I read all the issues have the Harbinger worried about job stability for this Ex-Pac and she’s (spoiler alert!) She’s doing door dash in the early parts of the day. Harbinger isn’t active till after 4:30 now.

is this issue still occurring for people? the quest never popped up for me. and i can’t do any of the pre patch fun…

Was fixed for me after completing the pre-patch story. I guess whatever was supposed to happen in the Chamber interfered with Alleria appearing. After having everyone (Khadgar, Jaina, Anduin, Thrall and Magni) arrive there, I could see the Harbinger quest trigger on the top floor.

what exactly is the pre patch story? like the cut scene? or a certain questline? i am stuggling bad lmao

It’s the quest “The War Within” where Jaina asks you to go to Silithus :slight_smile:

That’s tricky :hear_no_evil: I have completed The Harbinger on one of the characters in my Warband before, so “The War Within” quest was given to me on launch right away. But seems like for the pre-patch quest to be given to you, you need to complete The Harbinger first. If you can’t see any of these two quests, maybe worth writing a support ticket :sob:

Had the same problem. Here’s how I fixed it:

I had both The Harbinger quest from 10.2.7 and the War Within quest from the 11.0 prepatch in my quest log. Abandoning the 11.0 prepatch quest made Alleria appear in the Chamber of the Guardian. Seems like having the War Within prepatch quest in your log breaks the 10.2.7 quest. Hope this works for you.

Teleporting to Stormwind made the War Within prepatch quest pop up again.

Didnt scroll down far enough to see this. It took me a minute to understand that we were supposed to abandon the war within quest for the npcs to show up for Harbinger. Thank you! Its strange because my time runner had both Harbinger and War withon after converting to standard retial character and I had no issues with Harbinger at all. The npcs were there and so was Khadgar. I just dont have the quest from khadgar to start the prepatch event so I xant accesss the weekly quests.

This worked for me as well. I had to abandon TWW pre quest. I was in the chamber room and Alleria phased in a few seconds after abandoning.

Had this issue. Go to your capital city and pick up a quest there.

Fur alliance or was a floating scroll in north of map

At least there’s a work-around.

Still annoying to have to be almost an IT specialist to play this game at times.

Have you used the teleport scroll? If not, maybe leave Dalaran and use it.

Also, was this due to you using the Echoes of Azeroth to level your character? That might be the cause as, when my Alts reached lvl 70, Khadgar disappeared despite me having a quest to turn in (the gold question mark was there, but he wasn’t).
