This is a complete redesign of the demonology warlock. It is meant to be a fun “what if” build. First some things that are going away in this build. Let me know what you think of this build. I was inspired by old school WC3 when making this build, and Gul’dan’s association with mannoroth.
Nerfs:
Wild imps are completely GONE (Hand of Guldan does not summon them.)
Implosion is GONE.
Demonbolt is GONE.
Power Siphon is GONE.
Summon Demonic Tyrant is GONE.
Demonic consumption is GONE.
Buffs:
Summon Pitlord. The pitlord has cleave, taunt, 1%/sec regeneration while enraged, thick hide, immolation aura, charge, and axe toss. Oh, and he comes with blood pact.
Immolate is back. This immolate generates shards per tick. Also, this has a 33% chance per tick of causing your next shadowbolt to be instant cast.
Hand of Guldan can be cast while moving. It consumes three soul shards, and causes your pitlord to be enraged for 10 seconds, increasing its damage, and granting it regeneration.
Replacing power siphon is demonic bolts. With this talent, your hand of guldan causes your next two shadowbolts to be empowered, and deal 100% additional damage.
Demonic gateway is instant cast, and causes the warlock to immediately take the gateway. The initial cast travel is not affected by the Demonic gateway debuff, and does not trigger it. Demonic gateway is on a 45 second cooldown.
Replacing demonic tyrant is Fel ritual. You channel a ritual over 3 seconds that causes your pitlord’s next 15 attacks to do an additional 150% damage, and grant you a soul shard whenever it attacks. While under the effect of fel Ritual, the pitlord’s size is increased. Whenever you spend a soul shard, the cooldown of Fel ritual is reduced by 1.5 seconds. Fel ritual is a 3 minute cooldown.
Replacing Demonic consumption is Rite of souls. Every soul shard you spend reduces the cooldown on call dreadstalkers by 2 seconds.
