I have to say that while I love the idea of the Great Vault, it does have one issue I believe would be an easy fix.
Right now, the Great Vault rewards players with gear by forcing them to play various forms of content they might not enjoy, such as Delves for many. I wonder if Blizzard, or the community, would be open to changing the Great Vault structure to reward players for playing the content they enjoy rather then making them play a variety of content (eg. Completing 24 delves/world events grants a full vault).
Edit: Yes I am, and have been aware that no one is forced to do content, nor do I feel as such. This is my shooting an idea into the dark about a problem that, from the content that seems to keep popping up on my feeds, others have. Though it appears that the issue is only really being pushed by Google through the endless amount of forum posts and videos they seem to want to shove into my feed about this.

They need to replace the vault with the bullion currency. Blizz thinks that RNG will pad their playtime metric.

you’re not forced to do delves
did you do pvp? did you not like it? were you forced to do RBGs to unlock pvp row?
if you dont like it dont do it. you can fill the vault with 2 other forms of content

The only thing I feel “forced” to do are the Valorstone world quests because they are purposely griefing with them.
You used to be able to transform Sparks without spending 250 stones. They randomly added that in later in DF. The Valorstone crap makes early gearing really irritating, like unsub levels of irritating.

I’m good with doing eight delves for a choice of three gear pieces, as that’s the only content I like. I don’t raid, pvp or do M+, so until TWW, I’d never gotten to open the vault and get anything at all, so this is a big step up for me. LOL
If there’s content you don’t want to do, don’t do it. Why force yourself to do things that aren’t fun? That seems silly.

Oh no I’m not saying I hate or dislike Delves, just that it seems like every day 50 new videos and 100 new forum posts get shoved into my feed about people complaining about Delves, or the Great Vault as a whole. Im more or less just trying to put forth a possible way Blizz could go about solving that issue – just cut the “need” to do certain content to fill rows. Of course, I’m not a developer, and I’m just a single person in a very large community, so I wanted to make this post for Blizzard to maybe see, and see how the community engages with this idea. If it sucks and people hate it and point and laugh at my dumb idea, oh well. I just thought I’d try to offer up a solution to an issue I feel I see brought up often.

Hmm. I haven’t been forced in to a single raid or Mythic+ by the great vault. I just get fewer choices to choose from for Free Gear. Doing 8 delves a week is enough of a challenge.

Delve Vault has been completely useless for me because the game puts BiS trinkets in my Vault every week. It’s a good problem to have, but it’s a weird one.
Even my Priest got Gale in the Vault. My Rogue has gotten Queen’s Mandate and Skardyn’s in the Vault.

It doesn’t force players into playing content they don’t want to. It’s there as an option but no one is forced to participate in that content. If you feel forced, that’s on you. Only you can choose to do what you want to do in the game. If you are part of a guild where they require it, then take it up with the guild.

Vault could use tons of tuning but they won’t do it cause they like to waste player time for corporate metrics. They probably will increase the amount of runs you need in the future tbh

I realize the langauge I used may not express what I mean well. You are right, no one is forced to do anything. I have just noticed what feels like a large amount of people complaining about the vault and how they “need” to interact with content they otherwise might not want to, and delves often appear to be the primary content brought up. I just thought I would try and throw a possible idea out to remedy said issue.

I honestly haven’t seen any streamer complain about that last row, and the few complaints I’ve seen about it is because the rewards are too good for the difficulty from players trying to gate keep gear.
The last row is really there for anyone just generally playing the game because they hadn’t had that as an option before. While those of us who do keys & raid content are used to the vault, open world players were forgotten about. Now they aren’t, and can share with the rest of us in the Tuesday vault disappointment.
Edit:
The vault already does what you are asking for with the exception of PvP players. They are also much happier that they don’t need to play the vault game.

Yeah, and maybe it’s because my field of view on the discussions around TWW are fairly limited to whatever slop YouTube and Chromes home page wants to feed me that I see so much negativity towards content Ive found myself actually enjoying. As I said, from what I’ve seen, though I recognize that Im not all knowing or seeing. Im one of those players whose never engaged with Raids or M+, though with TWW I honestly would love to, but the Delves and that last row have been some of the first like, Raid Gear sets Ive ever had in my time with this game.

Nobody is forcing anybody.

how will they keep you from gearing too fast?
Is this a troll? It’s a troll post right?
I see there are 14 replies - how many have already explained he’s not being forced?
Or at least let me slot-target for the rolls on the page. Like, if you complete a row, give you an option to pick one spot to be a specific type. Complete all 9? Get 3 options of targeted rolls. That way, it’s still RNG but infinitely less. Like, gimme a chance to have some level of control on what pops up in there.
I don’t need 6 cloaks, or trinkets, or belts. Let me target the problem slot if you’re not going to give me a way to do it manually.
Forced content is a mythic raid logger myth. there is no forced content.
I’m actually happy to hear that the last row is doing that for you. You are exactly who it is for. It’s not at all for players like me though I have taken advantage of it. Hopefully you feel more encouraged to want to do more, but I mostly hope that whatever you’re doing in game you are having fun doing it.

My biggest complaint with the great vault is I wish you couldn’t have multiple of the same slot per row such as I got two shoulder choices this week from the 2 mythic vaults I had unlocked. But that’s basically one item because either way I was going to catalyze one of those. Now you could argue maybe i’m a spec with shoulders as my off piece or something and only one of those had bis stats, but its still a bit disappointing to see. And the loot tables need to be adjusted for what people actually use, such as removing 2 handers from the frost DK loot table and staffs from the ele sham table.
