That is a mathematical impossibility, just saying.
Also, F2P games almost always have devious catches. If they aren’t in launch, they will show up at some point. I’d rather hand my sub money upfront, and be done with it, rather than get nickel and dimed later, and preyed upon with predatory practices trying to trick me into paying more than I would, or suffering if I refuse to.
Yeah, and I have a ski lodge in the Bahamas to sell you.
That, and hey if you like WH, and you’re into that, you do you. I’m not saying not to. Just that I personally wouldn’t do much more than dip my toes into F2P as I’ve been burned by them in the past. “Oh trust us we won’t do that!” at least, not until their devteam starts floundering. Then it starts to seep in, bit by bit.
I am big fan of the spiffy brit. He does exploit videos. He shows how to make games fun and profitable. games that are ofc…exploit free. Or so the devs say.
when he does fallout and skyrim exploit vids he loves to knock on Todd calling him godlike sarcastically. as Todd is in extreme denial about “bugthesda” lol.
You do not get it to you …from what I have heard several people in the Warhammer community are having a hand in making a game… I mean these were the same fellows who modded a game made in 2008 in a way that still keeps it popular today.
Do not underestimate them.
Also remember Grimdark is becoming more and more popular and Total War Warhammer 3 is on the horizon. This is the year of Warhammer if I was Ion, or Yoshi I would be watching Games Workshop VERY closely.
Or may I remind you Warcraft 1 was supposed to be a Warhammer game at first.
Considering the fact that Yoshi-P enjoys there being other games out there that people like and enjoy and considering the fact that Ion’s middle name is hubris, I don’t think either will have much concern as to the success of Games Workshop.
And if they do good, awesome! that means that both WoW and XIV will have to keep up. And I have faith in XIV – Final Fantasy is a huge franchise with a huge fanbase, and XIV itself is an excellent game that cares about its players and players’ time. It will do well, and continue to do well as long as Yoshi-P remains at the helm.
Yoshi-P wants people to play other games on the side and take breaks from XIV and come back feeling refreshed. He will enjoy the success of Warhammer; it gives people other games to play and then when he’s ready to release the new content, there will be lots of people coming back, eager to enjoy it.
Yoshi-P does not care about competition. He cares about providing you, the player, with an excellent experience and hours of fun, and he wants you to be happy.
I’ve been enjoying New World a lot and barely experienced bugs. It’s not a game for everyone however - I love the exploration aspect and huge open connected world.
Now you’re taking the same mindset that a lot of people have taken over the years every time a new supposed “WoW Killer” game ever popped up that turned out to… not actually kill WoW or make much of a dent in it in any way.
Take it from someone who has been here forever and played basically every type of game that can be made, firstly New World is nothing more than Skyrim remake version 1321248893 with Fallout 76 style online functions. The grass is almost never greener, if it were than we would be going up in numbers with each new change instead of losing subs, some things are better left as they are.
I will admit it is … less restrictive there… even the quest dialog has some terms you wont find in WoW.
However, like the Moongaurd thing, i think it depends on the server itself. I have not seen any mentions of brothels or blatant advertisements of ERP on Siren, but there are things like “Visit our Pub/Bar/Tavern at such-and-such guild housing for drinks and entertainment! Our wait staff is available to service your every need”
which may or may not be stuff like that.
