So I know not many people here are fans of the Lightforged or their (admitably undetailed backstory), but I’ve grown fond of what potential they could bring to future plots. I know there the whole idea of “evil tyrant light expansion,” but I’ve come to realize the Army may be much more then that. Perhaps the beginnings of a greater foothold on such an important world.
Now let me establish that Azeroth, narratively, is a very important world. The Final Titan is a make or break for the universe if she gets corrupted. Yet despite this, the cosmic force of the Light has very little influence on the planet compared to the Void or the Titans. Of course it has its major religions, but until Velen showed up the Naaru never even came to the world. They were all sacrificing themselves to hold back the Legion. But now with the Legion gone, perhaps the Golden Army under Turaylon is but a vanguard for the Light’s interest to combat the void, and maybe even try to claim Azeroth for itself?

Keep your filthy light off my titan draenei!
Sylvanas trying to kill everyone, and join the entire world together in Death. Naaru trying to convert everyone, and join the whole world together in the Light.
Can’t we just, like… chill out? Grow some trees and stuff?

You would support the Botani, wouldn’t you? Filthy druids.

This concept can go a lot of places. With some of the people of Azeroth concerned with the balance of light and shadow, I wonder if everyone would respond to the forces of light in a light-shadow conflict in the same way.
Keep your filthy shadow and undeath off my titan, fallen titan spawn!

Depends. Do they still… eat Orcs? Spawn inside of Orcs? I forgot the specifics of what they were doing.
Not that I’m not glad for the horticultural lessons Shan’do Stormrage is already giving them
i aint trying to spread dat stuff, i just really hate the idea of the light be the solutions to all our problems, as find it cheap, as well as light magic being the most boring type of magic. I feel like the light has to much narrative domination when it comes to fighting villains. I find the light boring and think that the idea of it just cheapens the setting, after all we have had 3 expansions by this point were the light played a major role in the finale (Burning Crusade, Legion, and Wrath).
Also my favorite magic is elemental.
Stop Lightforging things that aren’t draenei.
