The goblin aesthetic is getting really old, really fast

I mean, the whole reason I got into WoW and fantasy in general to begin with is because I love whimsical steampunk-adjacent tech, 20th century Italian American gangster accents, hot rods and drifting….

I’ve been waiting for fifteen years to go back to the Goblin starting zone, or something similar. I’m so pleased to be back. It’s got one of the best vibes in the entire game.

I’m pretty happy to be in Undermine, and I’m going to savor it as long as I can.

Last time I was this giddy for a zone, was Mechagon. For the same reasons.

Really liked the vibes and tech-y stuff.

“we dun blowed it up agen! xDDD”

is an incredibly boring game archetype/art style.

If there was not rewards directly correlated with player power increase from Undermine(d) - I would avoid it entirely.

They’re outting themselves, fellow Goblin enthusiasts. Take note!

It’s gob time.

All seriousness, I understand where you’re coming from but I love Undermine and all the neat stuff packed into it. I really enjoy the more down to earth grimy city vibes than the cosmic wombo jumbo we’re so wrapped up in all too often now.

And hey. Gobs are neat.

Tell me about it, I wouldn’t be caught dead using goblin themed stuff. NO WAY NOT ME!

I like the generic suit and then you just threw the gob tech helmet on.

Seems like an elf trying to blend in…Hmm…

It is a touch crowded and busy and small, I grant you.

But it feels like a lived in city, with all the little details, the little jokes, the easter eggs and all the goblins doing their thing.

One thing I really like and surprised me is the doors. They open. They close. What a novelty, seriously.

There is so much to discover. I think it is just plain fun.

I don’t mind the gobs but UM feels too cluttered for me but it isn’t terrible.

I don’t know. Mount Hyjal is mostly just the tree with ruins. Vashj’ir is also ruins. Not much architecture to see given it’s mostly rubble.

Cata is more about showing everything destroyed and on fire than showing any kind of architecture.

IMHO Suramar, an intact and functioning city, is the last time we had Elven architecture in a big way.

This is because they’re a joke race. And they’re still a joke race hence the joke aesthetics and joke story.

Next expansion will be elf overload it seems. So you know, most of the player population.
