The Ghosts of Karesh new patch

They speak of Dimensius being ressurected. This means we REALLY killed the void lord for real in a side quest in TBC?

Considering the difference in scale, it could mean they’re seeking to specifically resurrect the form with which he consumed K’aresh.

The Void Lords seem to require constant energy to feed maintaining their presence in our reality, so his world-destroying manifestation might have just died once K’aresh was depleted and there was nothing left to sustain him.

Had that thought too. Netherstorm’s manaforges incidentally hastened Outland’s fracturing so I’d hope these ethereals at least refined the technology.

Well, the article says revive and not ressurrect. Seems we merely put him in a coma like state that the Shadowguard are trying to wake him up from.

Not that it matters, but Dimensius looks amazing if that’s his true form.

Wasn’t that mainly because the forges were draining the magic that was holding Outland together?

Dimensius looks MASSIVE i wonder how thw fight is going to go. On the brief preview it reminded me of the Mueh’zala fight with the huge towering monster and we basically dodge his hands

When it comes down to it, “manaforge” is probably just the nomenclature for what the machinery is used for rather than a unique designation for the specific reverse-engineered devices in Netherstorm. The fact that it was the demons who showed Kael’thas and his followers how to build them suggests even the Legion probably has its own manaforges built with its own tech.

It was said the manaforges are sucking magic to feed Dimensius, hence the new magic cloak we use to bypass the filters and get sucked along wth the mana to inflitrate. Perhaps they just copied the BE manaforges because they realized it serves as a really good magic vacuum cleaner and since the objective is to bring dimensius back, i assume the consequences for karesh are not top priority for the shadowguard

Speaking of stupid dungeon journals:

Summary

Manaforge Omega, built to harness arcane power from the wastes of K’aresh, now hums with a sinister radiance. Within it, Nexus-King Salhadaar attempts to reawaken Dimensius, the All-Devouring, in a bid for ultimate power. The champions of Azeroth must disrupt Manaforge Omega’s operations or else risk a reborn Dimensius feasting on reality itself.

Salhadaar and the Ethereum’s entire thing was revenge against Dimensius even if it means using the void to kill him, that was their crusade for thousands of years. Now he’s helping DImensius because uhhhh what is writing?

Positive thing though: cool troll gryphon mount https://www.wowhead.com/ptr-2/spell=1245358/akildarah-windscarred

Is the questline up yet on ptr?

Funny thing about the dungeon journal you posted. We actually killed Nexus King Salhadaar way back in TBC. We were asked by Commander Ameer of the Protectorate

I think it’s just your typical early data mining of what’s in the PTR. Since blizz doesn’t seem to be hiding most of it like they been doing lately

Building on that…

We also killed Nexus-King Salhadaar back in Burning Crusade.

Hi dungeon journal states: “Once the ruler of K’aresh and sworn to defeat Dimensius, Nexus-King Salhadaar reveals that he formed a pact with the very being that shattered his homeworld. Atop his Royal Voidwing, Salhadaar commands the Shadowguard to ensure the return of his master, Dimensius.”

Im unsure as to the hows and whys of the pact, but it may explain how he survived.

Meanwhile I’m hoping that the Consortium will be amongst our allies in the patch.

There’s direct screenshots of the dungeon journal so I assume the PTR is up, though I’m not sure if any quests are available.

Yeah that is confusing given that they were working for her back in the Harbringer questline.

I mean it’s not like it can’t be explained or that this is a major character being assassinated or anything, he was a random guy in a single BC quest, it’s just really dumb. Why not have a new character instead of changing an existing one entirely?

Actually it’s kind of fitting that a character introduced in BC gets their character completely reversed for the sake of making them a raid boss when that was the expac that did that to a bunch of preexisting characters lol. Though in this case he was already a villain anyway.

Didn’t she get mad when she found out they took the heart, sounds like a double cross

Maybe Dimenisus resurrected him and than ordered Salhadeen to bring Dimensius into the physical realm as an act of loyalty?

Yeah. She got pretty peeved when she found out Gallywix gave the heart to the Etherals. It’s why she abandoned him and left him to his fate

Due to the Lorewalking stuff, I would say the Brokers are not so much native to the Shadowlands, more like they retreated to there after K’aresh was destroyed.

I mean one literally appears in front of you and Cho in Dornagol to give you a message for Locus Walker.

The new factions of 11.2, per MMO-Champion.
Ethereum (New)
Manaforge Vandals (New) - While the K’aresh Trust works to unite the people of their dying star, some members prefer a more direct approach. Using all method of covert and under-handed tactics, the Manaforge Vandals seek to dismantle Salhadaar’s forces by any means necessary.
The K’aresh Trust (New) - A coalition of cartels from brokers and ethereals formed with an impossible goal. To save a facet of their destroyed world from the All-Devouring.
The K’aresh Trust (Paragon) (New) - A coalition of cartels from brokers and ethereals formed with an impossible goal. To save a facet of their destroyed world from the All-Devouring.

I’ll admit I didn’t expect the Ethereum to be on the reputation list.
