The Game The game

I am a rank 10 self-hard “core” pvper on the horde side. Even with responsibilities tying me down, because I’m a normal #$@ing human being, I can only do around 12 hours of grinding a day. Which I assume is only half of what the real hard core players are doing.

After doing some math, it will take me 4-5 weeks just to gain 1 rank. Should I quit now or continue this delusion that reaching 13/14 will be worth it, by the time I get it in 6-8months.

depends why you want it. is it for fame or glory or the hope to attract a mate?

The only thing that grind will attract is a head full of sebum filled pustules, a paunch filled with post mates delivered Big Macs and body creases which smell of wet Fritos and vinegar.

The act of playing the game should be all the reason you need, the rewards should just be a nice bonus.

Real life changes. It’s almost always wrong to think “this week = every week, forever”.

What I usually do is stop. Let “the real hard core” players have their fun. Don’t try to compete with them. In a few weeks they will get their max and stop. Then it will be easier for you.

I’ve seen it over and over. A few players rushed to 60 when Classic launched. The same guys rush to everything else as soon as it unlocks. If I simply wait, it gets a lot easier soon.

I;m just really glads where friends, not going to lie. Ever just meet a guy who like 1920’s in a bar? Then you’re to drunk remember why you’re in the subway? Man that’s how i feel sometime. Like legit, was listening to some Betty smith with my boy, but can’t remember what happend to him. But hit up with one bar, in Upstate New york, and was in the NYC subway. and just starting chilling with this dude who had a case of the blues but My man, after 20 mins, we where singing and howling about the good times. Sure life is a game, but dang if it ain’t a great game. So thank you Bluntfite for being a alt that is posting on a fake toon… Becuause tdeeeeeeeeeep Down i knwo you’re that one stranger i could meet at a bar who likes some blues, and we could be howlin and singing the blues one night man. LIfe’s pretty game just like World of Warcraft Classic

Keep in mind that it’s % base so when everyone has there rank and less people pvping it’s not really easier

Depends on your class and spec. Also the chance of burn out are magnified everyday you run LOL AV.

If you’re even asking this question, then you should stop.

At some point in the future, Classic will slow down a lot. Subs will fall and servers will be depopulated. Then, maybe, try the rank grind again.

Edit: I’m assuming you’re doing it for the achievement itself. I know the gear will be obsoleted, eventually.

It sounds like you might be happier if you quit grinding rank.

You mean you are not playing in a premade and/or collaborating with other rankers on your server? It will be crazy to continue.
If you join other people would be easier. But it seems like you are not really seeing yourself grinding that much

I’d say you’d be happier if you quit job…

You could just try to maintain 10, or try later. A lot of rankers stop at 10 because that’s where the gear is. More are getting burnt out by the day. The most dedicated who play 24 hours/day (some would say cheating…) are sitting at 12 and are going to get their 14 within the next 4 weeks and they will stop.

If you have a job I’d recommend you wait longer. I have a full time job and at 90 hours/week of pvp grinding I’m not even going to try for 13/14 at this point. I’m going for 11 and I’m stopping for now.

I did it back in the day with a room mate in college. DON’T. Stop NOW. Its an utter waste of time and life.

Go for it. Chicks love Rank 14 players.

I’m rank 8 with 20 hour days though I didnt start till AV release.
