The game seems even more empty now?

This is so true… I didn’t even think about the ilvl thing. I was just so busy being disappointed with the new/old dungeons I failed to realize that after I get max ilvl, I’m just going to lose it all.

….this game sucks. I mean I love my M+ and the gameplay but the model seriously sucks. An expansion comes out and you play it for a year or two, and then you lose all of your progress… that’s not how MMO’s are suppose to be.

Its very much the same for me. Whereas most days I log on at least once, I’ve barely touched the game in a week. I just can’t seem to find the drive to do so, and even if I do I can’t figure out what I might want to do that would be worth my time doing.

Sorta yeah. You felt the need to check out someone’s activity to judge their comments? Woah, that’s sort of creepy. How about just respond their opinion, not strip search their history for reasons to make your own opinions appear to have more weight.

FF14 begs to differ. That game flat out trumps most of the points you made. Your mindset of what a MMO has to be is super dated.

Hello, I see you replied to the thread. This is actually a pretty strange sentiment to make considering you can do your raid(s) in Classic and log out for the rest of the week!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

The game didn’t feel empty on Tuesday. The lag in Oribos was unbearable.

My mindset maybe of a perfect MMO is a competitive MMO.

I played SWTOR before. It has dungeons and raids too. But Bosses die there regardless if players perform or not. Even if Noobs are present in the group, Bosses die. If I bring my 10 year old nephew there, it would have the same result… Bosses die anyway. That’s a boring game to me.

And WoW is not like that. I returned to WoW and never left it again.

FFIV doesnt have Mythic+. Raids are 8-man? The lesser the number of players on a raid, the easier it becomes. And FFIV has too much cinematics which is very corny to me. I come here to play right away. I am not really a fan of game stories. Most of the game stories are made up. The real story of WoW to me is the story of my toon on that game… the wipes, the failures, the effort, the surprises, the victory and the glory.

FF14 has all the gameplay depth of a coloring book, though. Which is fine for people who are looking for a coloring book, but leaves people short if they’re wanting anything more.

You are referring to Classic. That is not Vanilla. We were once noobs in Vanilla.

I returned to Classic after doing tons of M+ on Legion/BFA. Yeah, I was raid logging too. Entered Molten Core at level 57. Killed Ragnaros when I reached 60 on the same week. Few days later, we killed Onyxia too. We started raid logging as there’s nothing else to do there. Unkillable on their 5-man dungeons. How could a Normal Boss/mobs kill my toon in Classic when an M+15 bosses/mobs are having a hard time to kill me in retail? People there thought I was showing off when they wipe on UBRS final Boss while I solo-kited-kill it. I got bored and never returned to Classic.

Hello, I see you replied to my post. Classic is Vanilla when it comes to time needed. Your argument was MMOs require a huge time investment and that hasn’t been true since Vanilla!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

You dont know becoz you were not there.

People were new to MMO’s. Lots of guilds there failed, and died becoz noobs were rampant.

Elite guilds there were rare. To gain entry, it’s like you have to send your resume. I had a great resume… showing them how many tier sets I have, how much Fire Resistance I have, how much Nature Resistance I have. How was able to be competitive like them? By doing a hard work as if I am on a job. If I dont do that, I would be on a joke guild who cant even kill Black Wing Lair.

There were 5 warriors already on the elite guild I joined and they said they are full in Warriors. But becoz I was popular back then, giving free carries on PuGs on 45-min Baron run, many on the elite guild recognized me and they invited me as their 6th Warrior even though there were 5 pages of Warriors applying on their website.

That was my breakthrough. We reached Naxx40.

I see the difference of our elite guild’s DPS when I was invited to off-tank for lowly guild who’s doing AQ40. Their DPS was abysmal compared to my elite guild. Wipe after wipe.

If you are lazy in Vanilla, good luck finding an elite guild. Good thing in modern WoW, I dont need to do that anymore. I dont even need a guild to raid.

My guilds going strong. Lot of people online for S4 .

Hello, I see you replied to my post. I was! I was finishing my degree and playing in Vanilla! Either YOU weren’t there or the people you ran with were horrible at the game and apparently needed to play 7 days a week to make any progress!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

Maybe I exaggerated becoz I really played almost 24/7.

I have to. Got addicted. While doing Naxx40, I was playing PvP too. I finished Lt Commander. I cant become Grand Marshall becoz most of my time are on raids too… plus farming for gold. High Warlords were afraid of confronting me 1vs1 on Battlegrounds becoz they know I have Naxx40 gear in addition to my PvP gear. WoW World is a small place. Everyone knows who is who becoz we are on the same server playing everyday… killing each other everyday on the same BGs.

Also, I needed daily Stratholme Living runs to get my Righteous Orbs. Crusader Enchant was my big money maker. 4 hours sleep was my norm then. I didnt complain until one time I fell asleep on a Raid that wiped us. ROFL.

Random Battlegrounds take aaaaaages to pop. No one talks in chat, except for run spammers.

The GWGB prophecy is coming to fruition.

I’m not even going to lie. You are either just trying to troll or honestly have overdosed on copium.

Funny how some of the best things people are looking forward to in 10.0 are taken straight from that coloring book. Really makes you think don’t it.

no buffs to underwheling specs in m+, 2 wings of mega dungeon where 1 wing + another dungeon would have been great

Of course it’s dead. There’s no new content. We’re replaying old raids we already beat and the 6 “new” dungeons are old dungeons from old expansions. This is a life support patch. It’s not bringing back any players.

There is also literally nothing new for non-raiders or M+ players to do. They can’t even do LFR for the slime cat. I hope this patch isn’t an omen of how Dragonflight is going to be. I can’t believe they’re making S1 of Dragonflight have old expansion dungeons instead of the new ones. How baffling is that?

I thought they were bringing dragons

As opposed to other seasons?
