hello Blizz, i’m wondering why is it too laggy for me? i play on barthilas server & my ISP is PLDT from the philippines. everytime i log in i get 380ms minimum goes up to 500ms to 600 MS to 1k MS until 2k MS. it’s such a huge lag spike that i can’t even play the game anymore. it wasn’t like this before when i sub again 2 months ago coz of covid. & now my guild is kicking me out because i can’t perform because of my lag. please do something about this. thank you

Hey there Dorcxd! Thanks for providing that WinMTR test data. The test here shows 1% packet loss paired with latency spikes up to 721ms on the first “hop”, and that jumps up to 5% packet loss with 1198ms on the second hop:

The first hop is the connection from your computer to the router or modem (depending on which device you’re connecting to). Packet loss is relatively common to see with WiFi connections, so if you are using WiFi, try testing a direct connection to the router or modem via ethernet cable. Note that we do not directly support wireless connections. If you find that WiFi is the problem, you can contact the support team for the WiFi device or the wireless router.
If you continue to experience the packet loss & latency problems – or if a wired connection isn’t an option – this would be an issue to bring up to your ISP, as they may need to run some diagnostic tests on your modem or router and/or temporarily replace the device to determine what is causing the packet loss. Keep in mind that you can request to speak with a “level 2 or level 3 technician” when contacting the ISP, as the front-line representatives typically only have access to basic diagnostics and troubleshooting tools. In addition, I encourage forwarding the WinMTR data to whomever you speak with when contacting the ISP, because if they’re able to interpret the data, this may enable them to diagnose and resolve the issue more quickly.
I hope that this information has provided further insight into the situation and helps get things fixed up so you can get back to playing as normal!
hello Skelgarer, thank you for your reply. i’m not using wifi connection but Wired connections. i’ve read on some topic that telstra is currently having problem…? i’m sorry skelgarer but i just can’t really play the game anymore. too much lag spike. haysss if only blizz has a server somewhere closer like SG
It still wouldn’t matter. The problem you are having is with your hardware and starts the second data leaves your computer. One thing to try if you haven’t is pulling the power to your router, let it sit for 5 or so minutes and plug it back in. If that doesn’t work I’d try a new cable between your computer and router.
Another thing to try is bypassing your router by plugging your computer straight to your modem, if possible.

I second Colttibby’s advice. If none of that works, see if swapping the router for a new one fixes things. Most often that’s going to be the fix for an issue like this if it’s not a simple network cache issue or damaged ethernet cable. If you’re renting your router from your ISP, you should be able to request a replacement relatively easily by contacting them.
