The Future of World Buffs in Classic Era

So is this actually real, and if so when does it go live?

Hellscreams buff in zone only. Doesn’t work in raids. The ones u need to worry about if you 100% don’t want any buffs at all are the pvp towers in hellfire and marsh.

Is the 15 min battleshout buff storable as well?

I hope they at least made it non instant cast, non castable in combat.

It was never intended for you to be able to collect every world buff. This ‘fix’ actually makes the problem worse, and shows how out of touch the individuals responsible for this change are.

The real problem is the meta and there is no fix for that. Please don’t throw fuel on the fire.

You can still choose not to get them. This change does not “remove” that choice from the game.

The fix is find a better guild that isn’t so sweaty…

lmao

I think the chronoboon is an excellent change but in my opinion Blizzard should make cloned versions of raids where you can only use your own buffs. No consumables or world buffs. It’s practically thesame raid. But you can only enter it with self buffs and don’t get me started on the: “But you can do that already.” No one does naxx gdkps or naxx raids without world buffs and they will have world buff penalities to the pot and if you started your own they’ll sabotage your chances. The best thing is to introduce a friendly option so that it will bring curiosity rather than repenting. Go into a naxx gdkp and dont use world buffs. Do it right now and watch your pot go from 2k to 0g. And prepare to get yelled at. Start your own? Yeah right. You cant compete with these meta naxx gdkps because there isnt an option to suggest its fine to raid without world buffs. When there is an option it will be fine. But people only believe it is fine. It’s an illusion. They are scared to not use world buffs. They don’t have a choice because they have to explain why they are tanking naxx without any everytime. When the buffs are accessible it becomes the standard to get them and if you don’t you are seen as an uncaring lowly selfish person who isnt trying hard enough.

Please blizzard do not get rid of world buffs from the game or from raids/pve. I do agree they make the game more fun for warriors and many other classes… but… make an option where you can do a cloned version of the raid with self buffs only. And make tbc servers that might have boosts or might not have boosts.

Just remove world buffs please it’s really toxic, just give a flat nerf to some of the raids

what in tarnation servers are way over populated and the others are dead it’s a extreme one or the other in all servers world pvp is a failure because of this battle grounds are full of bots and cheaters and gold sellers are everywhere’

many changes that could be made for the good of the game and this is what you do?

Have you considered the people who aren’t on the forums crying 24/7 ie: the people who are perfectly happy with the way things are and don’t want new retail-y features to fix problems that don’t exist?

LMAO. These people want Blizz to introduce features to turn all PvP servers into PvE servers. Why didn’t you just roll on a PvE server? You’re the one who sounds bitter

This is a really great move and shows that “some changes” is really the best way to go. Not playing as a peak viable strategy in a video game is terrible and I’m so happy you guys realize that and are willing to still make changes to classic. Hope there are more common sense changes like this in the future for all the players who decide to stay in classic.

When can we expect this feature to finally be rolled out? This world buff meta is burning a lot of people out.

I dont raid but it seems like it’s going to be better for me storing buffs for fun. Than for raiders. You still have to go get all the buffs and the issues involved there.

I’m kind of hoping they forget to not allow you to store cast buffs, even though it says world buffs. So I can store AP,PI,trinket. Pop it like a pot.

I dont want to play TBC, so i’ll stay in a Classic Era realm. I was expecting that they addressed this Wbuff meta thing the same way they are doing in TBC realms, by removing World Buff in instances (Raids, BGs and Dungeons).
IMHO this change looks like something we would see in retail and it only make this toxic meta even worse.

Most of min/max meta slaves community will progress to TBC, i think Classic Era will be just few servers filled with RPG nerds, casuals, people that love Vanilla and the ones like me that doesn’t feel the need to rush content and play in their own pace, i would love to clear Naxx one day, but i dont want to rush to it, i rather play in my time.

That said, my point is that Blizzard should make changes in Classic Era realms based in the playerbase that plan on staying there, not in the ones leaving it behind. It is pretty obvious if u read the forums, who likes this change complains that it is too late because now everyone is going to play TBC.

Maybe i am wrong but i think the most of us that plan on staying in Classic Era realms would rather have the TBC fix for this issue, removing Wbuffs in instances and making those buffs only available in the WORLD content. The Vanilla raids weren’t tuned with wbuffs in mind and it is clear cause a lot of bosses are joke when the group stack those buffs, also i am sure that if we had that wbuff stacking meta back in day it would be addressed by the original dev team.

Also i really would like to know/understand who thinks that it is fun to run around collecting wbuffs before every raid?

sorry about my english, this is not my main language

The issue is having to raidlog is there regardless of whether you’re on a PvE or PvP server.

Why do there have to be any changes for classic realms? I did not resub to this game so i can get the modern retail 2.0 version of classic. This change is way too late anyway and honestly should not be in the game.

If people enjoy being slaves to wbuffs let them. If the majority is that reliant on these and parses then the consequence should be that they have to suffer by not being able to play the game. Imagine having a game where your actions and ideas about how to play the game have consequences for you… Insane I know.
