I’ve been really loving the hero talent trees so far. Sure, some have a stronger flavor/fantasy than others and some need some work to feel properly Heroic, but overall I’m in love with the concept. I’m a bit of an altaholic and a fiend for lore, so when new classes or races are added I want to have at least one of each, just to try! Hero specs have added so much engagement and incentive to play with characters I haven’t made much time to level, especially with Warbands making it so I don’t feel like I’m wasting time playing with anyone other than my main. I’m thrilled that these are being developed as an evergreen feature, but I’m very curious as to how they will be built on going forward without running into the same problem as regular trees; just being extended level by level until they’re a mile high and each talent point feels trivial.
For me, the only solution that makes sense is to keep adding more trees, maybe one per spec each expansion? The interface might need to update to accommodate all these but I would genuinely be happy with it. Level a new tree when a new expac drops and keep it or switch back if you like one better? I feel this gives the opportunity for so much individual flavor to be added, especially if Blizzard leans into visual differences in leu of “class skins.” What are your thoughts or wishes from this feature going forward?
I agree, but think it should be more than one spec per expansion.

Flavor really shouldn’t be tied to player power like this. Which is something Blizzard should have understood after the whole covenant thing, but I guess not.
Also kind of sucks if you want to play something like MM hunter, but your flavor choices are elf theme or elf theme.
Oh for sure, that would be even better but I’m not sure of how realistic it is to hope for so many talent trees to be written up, tested, and balanced each time. Though if they’re only added each expansion, maybe that would be enough time? If they added like 2 or 3 for each spec I’d be a kid in a candy store lol
